Nathan Carter thought that the loud "bang" he heard was Adrian Lee hitting his head. Now that his head was broken, all his anger disappeared in an instant and he could no longer be fierce.
He hurried to touch Adrian Lee's head, but found that Adrian Lee was fine, only his mobile phone was hit and had a tiny crack.
He held Adrian Lee tightly in his arms, gently stroking and patting the back of his neck near the roots of his hair, trying to calm Adrian Lee down.
Adrian Lee leaned in his arms and slowly stopped trembling. It was as if all the strength in his body had been drained away. He was like a fire in the wind, with only some faint, struggling embers left.
Nathan Carter asked softly: "What's wrong, Adrian Lee?"
