When Lu Yezhen got up in the morning, Caleb Johnson had already cooked the porridge.

He was frying a fried egg when he saw Lucas Green coming downstairs and asked him, "Do you want a runny or non-runny one?"

Lucas Green was stunned for a moment before he said, "I think it's a heart-wrenching thing."

After a while, just as Caleb Johnson put the porridge and eggs on the table, the doorbell rang.

Lucas Green went to open the door, and someone brought the breakfast he ordered. He took it and placed it in front of Caleb Johnson, saying, "Eat this."

Only then did Caleb Johnson realize that Lucas Green had ordered breakfast, and he made a lot of extra breakfast.

He wanted to take the porridge in front of Lucas Green, but as soon as he stretched out his hand, Lucas Green hit the back of his hand.

Lucas Green didn't hit her hard, but with a warning to protect his food: "The porridge is mine."

Caleb Johnson retracted his hand, opened Lucas Green's breakfast bag, took out half of the sandwich, and lowered his head to eat.

Caleb Johnson fried two eggs, originally planning to have one each with Lucas Green. After taking a bite of the sandwich and looking up, Lucas Green had already eaten both and said to him, "Go fry a few more."

"...There are only two eggs in your refrigerator." Caleb Johnson said.

Lucas Green handed the bowl to Caleb Johnson and said, "Go get another bowl."

Caleb Johnson obediently served him the food.

Lucas Green took a few bites, pointed at the bag and asked Caleb Johnson: "You don't want to eat anymore?"

Caleb Johnson was full after eating half a sandwich and was sitting there in a daze. When Lucas Green asked him, he said, "I can't eat anymore."

Lucas Green took his bag, threw him a box of milk, took the other half of the sandwich and started eating: "You eat so little, you can't even fight back if you get beaten."

Caleb Johnson drank the milk silently, and Lucas Green stood up and said, "Let's go."

"Wait," Caleb Johnson returned to the guest room, took out the exercise paper Lucas Green gave him, and handed it to him, "I'm done."

"Have you finished all of them?" Lucas Green flipped through the pile of test papers, which numbered at least a dozen. He asked Caleb Johnson, "Did you stay up all night?"

"No," Cheng Zhan thought to himself, "I couldn't sleep yesterday, so I just did it."

Lucas Green stuffed the test paper into his backpack and went out with Caleb Johnson.

Without Quinn Roberts's harassment, Caleb Johnson spent a perfect day. He attended classes and read books during the day, and bought a very cheap mobile phone and a second-hand bicycle at night. When he got home, Cheng Lie was not there and no creditors came to the door. There was a peaceful atmosphere. He flipped through a book and fell asleep.

However, Caleb Johnson didn't catch a cold even after being caught in the rain and being beaten. But he got sick after taking a nap when he went home that night.

Caleb Johnson felt dizzy when he woke up in the morning and remembered a fable about a beggar.

It tells the story of a rich man who had nothing to do, so he found a beggar and asked him to spend the night outside in the snow and ice, under a tent. If the beggar survived, he would be allowed to enjoy three nights of happiness.

The beggar was used to suffering, so he slept outside in the wind and snow and spent the night safely.

The rich man found it very interesting, so he took the beggar home as promised, and let him bathe in hot springs, sleep on a soft couch, and eat delicious food.

Three days later, the beggar left the rich man's house and returned to his previous place, where he died in the severe cold that night.

Caleb Johnson went out to school with a high fever, thinking that it was better for him to stay in a hard place than to enjoy life secretly.

When he arrived at school, he went to the infirmary first and asked the school doctor to take his temperature. The ear temperature was over 38 degrees.

The school doctor recognized Caleb Johnson and advised him to hang a bottle of water to reduce his temperature. Caleb Johnson never took his body seriously. Thirty-eight degrees was not considered high, and he did not like injections, so he did not agree and went back to the classroom.

When the get out of class was over at noon, Caleb Johnson found that his body temperature was getting higher and higher. He made up his mind to overcome the psychological trauma and wanted to go back to the infirmary to get an IV drip.

Quinn Roberts

He had some textbooks and exercise books left at school, so he reported to his class teacher and went to school to take them home.

He had just walked out of the classroom carrying a bag of books when he saw Caleb Johnson staggering towards him from the other end of the corridor.

Caleb Johnson passed by Quinn Roberts without even looking at him. Quinn Roberts and Caleb Johnson almost brushed past him, so they turned around and grabbed his shoulders, trying to tease him.

Unexpectedly, after Caleb Johnson was stopped by him, his hands went limp and his schoolbag fell to the ground.

Quinn Roberts was just about to ask him why he didn't look at people when he walked, but Caleb Johnson raised his head and he saw the abnormal blush on Caleb Johnson's face.

There was mist in Caleb Johnson's eyes, his lips were sickly red, and his eyes were lifeless. It was obvious that he was sick.

"What's the matter?" Caleb Johnson asked him slowly.

Quinn Roberts was speechless, and he held Caleb Johnson's hand for a long time before asking him, "What's wrong with you?"

Caleb Johnson shook his head, squatted down to pick up his schoolbag, and was about to walk forward. Quinn Roberts didn't want to let him go, so he pulled his coat and hat, trying to pull him back. But Caleb Johnson's legs were weak to begin with, and when he was pulled, he lost his balance and fell to the ground, hitting his head.

As soon as he lay down, he could no longer see clearly. He felt his hands and legs were heavy and he was extremely sleepy. The next second, he fell into darkness.

"Hey, Caleb Johnson." Quinn Roberts kicked Caleb Johnson in the abdomen with his toes, but Caleb Johnson didn't respond at all.

"--Student Quinn Roberts, what are you doing again?" The Chinese teacher in Quinn Roberts's class came over with the textbook in his hands. When he saw Caleb Johnson lying on the ground being kicked by Quinn Roberts, his heart skipped a beat and he wanted to call the police immediately.

"What can I do?" Quinn Roberts spread his hands innocently, "He fell down by himself. If you don't believe me, ask him."

The Chinese teacher ignored him and walked to Caleb Johnson, trying to help him up. But she was petite, and after pulling Caleb Johnson's hand several times, she still couldn't pull him up. It was lunch time again, and the students had all gone to eat, so there was no one to help.

Caleb Johnson's hands were so hot that she felt panic. She shook Caleb Johnson anxiously: "Caleb Johnson, do you have a fever?"

Suddenly, a hand helped her pull Caleb Johnson up. The Chinese teacher turned around and saw that it was Quinn Roberts.

Quinn Roberts picked up Caleb Johnson and said, "Forget it, I'll take him to the infirmary."

The Chinese teacher still didn't trust Quinn Roberts and said nervously, "Then I'll go with you."

Caleb Johnson was lighter than Quinn Roberts had imagined. Quinn Roberts put one hand under his armpit and held Caleb Johnson's knee with the other hand, carrying him forward easily.

"You really have a fever." Quinn Roberts looked down at him and found that Caleb Johnson's hair was hanging down, revealing his forehead covered with gauze. His eyelashes were pressed against his fair skin, and his whole body was filled with heat.

The Chinese teacher also saw Caleb Johnson's forehead and reached out to touch the gauze, but Quinn Roberts quickly stepped around her and said, "Teacher, what if it falls off after you touch it?"

It was no coincidence that when Quinn Roberts was carrying Caleb Johnson through the playground, Mason Hayes and Lucas Green had just come out of basketball. Mason Hayes saw at a glance that the boy who held Caleb Johnson in the toilet was holding someone in his arms. After walking a few steps, Mason Hayes recognized that the boy was holding Caleb Johnson, ran up to stop Quinn Roberts, and asked him: "What did you do to Caleb Johnson again?"

Quinn Roberts was unhappy with the people from the National High School Department and said in a bad tone: "What the hell does it have to do with you?"

"Classmate, do you know Caleb Johnson?" The Chinese teacher also felt that this was all Quinn Roberts's fault, but since Quinn Roberts was holding the child, she still had to explain for Quinn Roberts, "He has a fever, let's send him to the infirmary."

Mason Hayes glanced at Quinn Roberts with a bad face and said, "Give him to me and I'll take him over."

Quinn Roberts looked at Mason Hayes, suddenly smiled at him and said, "You take care of it."

Before he finished speaking, Quinn Roberts threw the person in his arms to the ground.

Mason Hayes didn't expect Quinn Roberts to be so extreme. Before he could react, Lucas Green beside him took action first. He quickly reached out and circled Caleb Johnson's upper body, preventing Caleb Johnson from falling to the ground.

Cheng Zhan was startled and woke up. When he opened his eyes, he saw Lu Yezhen's face. He held Lu Yezhen's arm and managed to stand steadily.

"Oh, you're awake?" Quinn Roberts said, "If you're still not awake, people will think I did something to you."

Lucas Green supported Caleb Johnson and put his hand on his forehead. Although Caleb Johnson had a fever, he was still conscious. He grabbed Lucas Green's hand and said to him: "I have a fever."

Quinn Roberts was still hugging his arms and looking at Caleb Johnson. Caleb Johnson looked around and roughly understood the situation at the moment, so he said to the Chinese teacher: "Teacher Li, I fainted due to a fever. I'm going to the infirmary now."

The Chinese teacher still had to attend the noon self-study class. Seeing that several people in the national high school department seemed to be very familiar with Caleb Johnson, she told Caleb Johnson not to go to the classroom in the afternoon and she would help her ask for leave, and then she hurried back.

Quinn Roberts did not move, but stood aside and looked at them gloomily.

Lucas Green helped Caleb Johnson walk to the infirmary and asked him, "Have you taken your temperature?"

"Zhan Xin, how long have you had a cold?" Mason Hayes interrupted.

"I went to the school hospital this morning. My temperature was over 38 degrees," Cheng Zhan thought for a moment and said, "I had a fever this morning."

"It's more than that now," Lucas Green said, holding Caleb Johnson's hands and looking at them. There were no needle holes on the back of his hands. He asked him seriously, "Why didn't you hang the drip this morning?"

Caleb Johnson looked around and said nothing, like a child who had done something wrong.

Lucas Green stopped walking, looked at the top of Caleb Johnson's head, and turned him in another direction: "Take a leave in the afternoon and go to my house to get an IV drip."

"Yes, yes, it's better to go to Aye's house." Although Mason Hayes didn't know why Lucas Green and Caleb Johnson suddenly looked very familiar, he still agreed with Lucas Green's opinion.

Caleb Johnson did not resist and followed Lu Yezhen to the school gate.

Quinn Roberts called him from behind: "Xinxin."

Caleb Johnson turned around and looked at him.

Quinn Roberts stood alone, his hands still seemed to hold Caleb Johnson's hot body temperature. He looked at Caleb Johnson's attitude towards Lucas Green, and his heart suddenly felt like it was being squeezed by something, and he felt inexplicably nervous.

Caleb Johnson never shows any expression. He is precocious and indifferent, like a hard and tightly closed clam. No matter how you hit or scold him, you can't expect him to show any expression.

Caleb Johnson himself might not know it, but Quinn Roberts could see it at a glance. Caleb Johnson treated this national high department differently from others.

Seeing Quinn Roberts didn't say anything, Caleb Johnson asked him: "Anything else?"

Quinn Roberts opened his mouth and said, "My dad said the other day that he wanted to help you go to college."

Caleb Johnson looked at him and said "Oh".

"Do you want it?" Quinn Roberts said.

Caleb Johnson said, "I don't want it."

The weather in February was still cold, but Caleb Johnson's words were even colder. He said to Quinn Roberts: "I don't want to help you cheat anymore."
