When Simon officially resigned from the design institute in Gangcheng, the forest park project was just completed.
In fact, he had calculated the time and submitted his resignation application to the headquarters three months in advance. For this reason, two vice presidents of the design institute and the director of the human resources department flew from Hong Kong to the mainland and had an interview with him that lasted more than three hours, in an attempt to retain talent for the company.
However, Simon's attitude was gentle yet firm. He took the initiative to propose that he would leave all the design drawings he had made during his three years at the design institute to the company, transfer the ownership endorsement, and would not work for any other design institute in Gangcheng for a second time.
Even the company's top management had nothing to say in view of such great sincerity and concessions. So on the third day after the completion of the forest park, Simon successfully obtained the approval of his resignation application.
After Owen knew that Simon had successfully resigned, he once asked him with a smile: "Why did you leave those manuscripts behind? After all, they are all your hard work."
