The remaining days of the National Day were very quiet. Aiden King stayed in the dormitory study room to draw pictures for the next game, while Ethan Cole lay beside him like a hibernating beast, occasionally waking up and squinting his eyes to casually write a few math problems.
Aiden King actually felt that Ethan Cole's IQ was quite good. He didn't think twice about the review materials written for him, but he basically answered all the homework questions correctly, except that sometimes he was so sleepy that he had to close his eyes and fill in three multiple-choice questions in one second.
On the last day of the holiday, they went to the hospital to see their father again. His father could now sit quietly on the hospital bed and watch palace fighting movies. He was holding a basin of washed strawberries beside him, picking off the leaves and handing them over. He ate one for every strawberry he handed over, and was very well-behaved.
But Ethan Cole was a rather frivolous boy, and from time to time he would reach out and snatch his father's strawberries away. Gradually, a trace of hatred filled his father's dead eyes.
Aiden King was in a good mood all the way out of the hospital, as if he was hanging on a hot air balloon and couldn't stop rising.
