The drizzle that had been about to fall hit the back of his hand, making it feel dirty. Aiden King pulled his hand back into his sleeve and listened to Ethan Cole standing there negotiating with the driver.
"We can reschedule your trip for a handling fee, but we don't refund you." The driver said in a stiff, rough tone, "It suddenly rained during the day, which is really unfortunate. How about you spend a little money to change the time?"
Ethan Cole looked at the worn iron frame. It was a very thin layer of skin, and the raised edge was even thinner. You can imagine how painful it would be if it was hit. He paused and said, "Wait a minute, I'll ask first."
It was dark. Ethan Cole turned his head to look at Aiden King, then stepped aside and called his mother.
The phone rang for a full half minute before it was picked up.
