At about ten o'clock in the evening, the taxi drove along the Yanjiang Avenue, running very smoothly in the wind with light snow. Ethan Cole put one arm on the narrow edge of the window, and leaned close to the glass to look at the frozen river surface under the wind and snow outside.
The driver said, "Are you two hot? I've been turning on the heater in my car all night. If it's hot, just open the window for a while."
"A little bit." Ethan Cole moved, and the down jacket made a rustling sound. He pressed his finger on the window button and muttered, "Open a little gap to get some fresh air."
The wind rushed in all at once, blowing the hair on Ethan Cole's forehead wildly back. He breathed a sigh of satisfaction, resting his arm on the half-lowered car window and continued to look at the river.
Aiden King suddenly thought of something and opened the photo album on his phone and flipped back to the photo he took of Ethan Cole a long time ago when he and Ethan Cole first crossed the river by car.
