Oliver Zhao became the new fifth sect master of Yuchun and quickly recruited new disciples.

The disciples of the Five Sects were required to be good at medicine and poisons, with martial arts being ranked last. However, it was this group of mostly unarmed people who quickly became the most feared of the Six Sects of Yuchun.

It is easy to dodge an open attack, but hard to guard against an arrow from the dark. No matter how great your achievements are, you are ultimately powerless in the face of birth, aging, sickness and death. The Five Gates are the place that can control birth, aging, sickness and death.

Oliver Zhao was no longer the fledgling hiding under Ethan Qin's wings. He grew up very fast. In one year, he became the most powerful person in the Five Sects. In two years, he made friends with other sects and won their hearts. In the fifth year, Ethan Qin was still the owner of Yuchun on the surface, but Oliver Zhao had become the actual person in charge.

This year, Oliver Zhao was 26 years old and Ethan Qin was 34 years old. It had been eighteen years since they came to Yuchun Tower together.

Ethan Qin spent most of his time in bitter medicine, over and over again. Oliver Zhao fed him all kinds of medicinal herbs, but there was no sign of improvement.

The pain and illness made his martial arts skills worse than before, and sometimes he couldn't even lift a sword. Oliver Zhao put his head on his knees and said to him: "It doesn't matter. With me and Wumen here, no one can touch Yuchun. Just stay well and live a long life."

"No previous landlord could live to be a hundred years old. When I took this position, I already knew my fate."

Indeed, Ethan Qin was just like the previous owner, who only knew how to suppress others with force, thinking that as long as he was invincible, he could make everyone submit. However, he did not know how to control his subordinates. If he only used force, he would only fall into an abyss of no return when he could no longer be invincible and be torn apart by his wolf-like subordinates.

Only by using benefits and deterrence together, plus a little bit of false sincerity, can the disciples be changed from not daring to rebel to being unwilling to rebel.

Oliver Zhao seemed to have learned everything by himself and easily grasped the weaknesses of all of Yu Chun's disciples.

Gradually, Oliver Zhao no longer called "Master", and instead called him "Ethan Qin" over and over again.

Ethan Qin noticed something strange, but his thoughts were fleeting. The pain made it difficult for him to be distracted by other things, and facing the disciples he taught... and the lover who was honest with him, Ethan Qin was willing to give the greatest trust.

"Ethan Qin, I found a kind of ice-condensing grass when I went out this time. I heard that it is most effective for cold poison. It will definitely cure you." Oliver Zhao hugged Ethan Qin and gently stroked the ends of his scattered hair.

Ethan Qin had no way to repay this.

Oliver Zhao helped him stabilize Yu Chun and kept searching for precious medicinal herbs for him, but he himself could not repay even a little bit.

When Oliver Zhao went out to boil the medicine, Ethan Qin thought about giving up the position of the building owner to the other party. But after a moment, he gave up the idea.

The owner of Yuchun Tower is envied by everyone, but he has to bear too much. The hatred in the martial arts world and the control of the imperial court, once he stands on the throne, he will fall into the abyss and there is no way back.

I am already on the edge of an abyss...how can I bear to let Oliver Zhao bear all this?

The sun was still bright, Ethan Qin got up from the bed and jumped down from the main building. After resting for a few days, Ethan Qin felt quite light and was willing to walk around.

The disciples have been replaced wave after wave. Now, although the disciples coming and going in the building are familiar, they have little interaction with each other. Things have changed a lot.

When the disciples saw Ethan Qin, they all bowed hurriedly without staying for too long.

Ethan Qin had nothing to do, so he walked towards the library.

Yuchun Library houses all the famous books in the world. In the past, Oliver Zhao loved this place the most. Sometimes he would even stay up all night long and forget to eat and sleep.

Ethan Qin flipped through some miscellaneous books and casually asked the guard, "What books did the Fifth Sect Master like to read the most in the past?"

The guard led Ethan Qin to the third floor, stopped in front of a bookcase, and said, "They are just some medical books with strange and erotic techniques, which make people sleepy."

Ethan Qin imagined how Oliver Zhao was so sleepy that he could hardly open his eyes but was trying hard to stay awake, and he could not help but smile. Then he denied his previous thought and believed that with Oliver Zhao's character, he would be able to read any book with great interest.

Ethan Qin picked up a book from the shelf at random and flipped through two pages. By chance, he saw a bookmark at a certain place. Ethan Qin took off the bookmark, and the three words "Bing Ning Cao" came into his sight. He paused and looked down carefully.

"Ice-condensing grass is a rare treasure in the northern region. It is cold in nature and bitter in taste. Boil it in water and drink it to treat excessive heat and yang poison. It should be avoided if the body is cold."

Ethan Qin was stunned for a moment. He reread the book several times, thinking that Oliver Zhao had memorized the medical book incorrectly. He thought that he would remind Oliver Zhao when he got back and did not take it to heart.

He thought he understood Oliver Zhao.

Although Oliver Zhao grew up in Yuchun, he is not a bad person. He is a flower facing the sun, a vine entwined with beams, and a cheerful knight that can be seen everywhere in the world.

When he was not in Yuchun, Oliver Zhao always held a short knife, traveled around the world, made friends with people he met by chance, drank plum wine, listened to the rain in the tent, and was frivolous and wanton. He liked to tell Ethan Qin about his experiences, and Ethan Qin listened with a smile, thinking that Oliver Zhao was really carefree and was willing to bear more for him from the bottom of his heart.

Everything came to an abrupt end when Ethan Qin returned to the main building and told the story of the Bing Ning Grass he had accidentally seen.

He originally thought that Oliver Zhao would be half as surprised as he was, and then she would say to him as if relieved and had survived a calamity, saying that it was a good thing that she discovered it early, otherwise it would have caused a disaster.

But after hearing the story, Oliver Zhao just smiled and asked calmly: "You know everything?"

what do you know?

Ethan Qin frowned slightly, but did not ask rashly.

"It's good to know. I'm tired of pretending for so many years." Oliver Zhao threw the medicine in his hand casually, and the porcelain bowl broke into pieces. The people in the building heard the sound and rushed over, surrounding Ethan Qin.

At that moment, a flash of light suddenly flashed through Ethan Qin's mind, and he suddenly realized that he had never been poisoned by any cold. Today, his broken body and sick bones were all created by Oliver Zhao.
