The young nurse who was giving Hannah Bai an infusion said with envy.

"Late last night, he carried you over. You were crying because of your high fever, and he held you and soothed you softly, just like he was soothing a child."
"There were no vacant wards at the time. He held you in his arms and sat on a chair in the corridor, watching the medicine for you. I heard from the nurse on duty last night that you had three bottles of medicine, which took about two hours, and he didn't show any impatience at all."
