Another sleepless night.

When Sawyer Ji looked in the mirror with his messy hair, he saw that his eyes were full of red bloodshot and dark circles. In his previous life, he always wondered if he would die suddenly due to lack of sleep, but it didn't happen. The indestructible cockroach was finally trampled to death by someone.

He collapsed on the sofa and read the script for a while, but he couldn't continue because of his headache. He wanted to eat chocolate cake again. The one he had yesterday tasted good. He went to look in the trash can, but the name of the store on the box was blurred by water and he was about to send a message to Graham Qin, but suddenly he remembered that he didn't reply to his text message, so he put the phone down again with a snort.

It was Harper who called: "Teacher Ji, why didn't you reply to my WeChat?"

Sawyer Ji wanted to say, "He didn't even reply to me, so why should I reply to you?" But he felt that he was making no sense, so he just hummed and said nothing.

Harper didn't argue with him and invited him: "The weather is nice today, let's go for a walk on Qianye Mountain?"

Sawyer Ji looked out the window and wrapped himself tightly in his cotton-padded jacket: "What are you going to do? Aren't you cold?"

"Burn incense and worship Buddha, climb the mountain and you won't feel cold. Sister Felicity Zhou said you lack exercise, you will suffer when you join the group after the New Year. Come on, let's join?"

Sawyer Ji looked at the bright sunshine outside again and nodded reluctantly.

Harper drove over and took him to eat first.

Sawyer Ji hadn't left home for several days and was even more confused about the intricate roads around him. He didn't know which way to go after going downstairs. Harper shook her head and sighed, saying that she would apply for a guide dog for him.

"I want it if you can get it for me." Sawyer Ji said while eating Chongqing hotpot, which was super spicy.

Harper poured a bowl of boiled water to rinse the food, still grinning: "Aren't we moving to a new house? Does your husband agree with you getting a dog?"

Sawyer Ji put down his chopsticks.

Harper belatedly changed her words: "...Mr. Qin."

"What do I want to raise? It's none of his business." Sawyer Ji suddenly remembered what Harper did yesterday, and slammed the table and said, "Why didn't you tell me that the text message was sent by Graham Qin yesterday!"

Harper blinked innocently: "It's an unfamiliar number without a name, and I don't know who sent it. I'm just relaying the content of the message."

Sawyer Ji snorted and continued eating. If anyone was to blame, it was Graham Qin who was so cunning. He knew to change his number and come back after being blocked. It was really hard to guard against.

"Teacher Ji, you don't like him?" Harper asked gossipingly, "I think he's pretty good, handsome, rich, and I heard from Sister Felicity Zhou that he's a good person too, so what's wrong with you?"

Sawyer Ji had something stuffed in his mouth and said incoherently: "Then I'll introduce him to you."

Harper waved her hands repeatedly: "No, no, I think he likes you very much, I'm afraid he doesn't like others."

Sawyer Ji seemed to have heard something out of the ordinary: "He? Likes me? Forget it."

"He just likes you. It's written all over his face."

Sawyer Ji sneered: "I think you are the one who needs a guide dog." Graham Qin's facial expression is rarely seen, can you tell that he likes someone?

Seeing that he didn't believe her, Harper thought about it and realized that there was indeed no specific example to prove her point, so she was just relying on her woman's intuition.

"Anyway, you'll find out later. This man is really good."

Sawyer Ji felt annoyed and raised his hand to make a "STOP" gesture. Harper fell silent and concentrated on eating.

The car was stuck in traffic in the city for more than an hour, and then drove on the ring road for an hour, and finally arrived at the foot of the Red Leaf Mountain.

Sawyer Ji looked around the ticket office but couldn't find the cable car. Standing at the foot of the mountain, he began to feel dispirited before he even started climbing, and his heart was beating fast as he was about to give up.

Harper pulled him forward: "Come on, come on, it's just a short distance, show your manliness!"

Sawyer Ji felt out of spirit and short of breath. He wore a mask and sunglasses, and felt that if he knelt before the Buddha in this state, the Buddha would definitely think he was insincere and might even not bother to listen to his wishes.

After climbing halfway up the mountain, Sawyer Ji sat down on a big rock without any image and shouted that he couldn't stand it anymore. Harper went to a small store and bought two popsicles. She gave him one with great regret: "Eat it and continue!"

Sawyer Ji was afraid of the cold and had never tried eating ice cream in such cold weather. Now he was feeling hot all over after climbing the mountain, so he pulled the mask to his chin, turned his back and ate the ice cream happily.

After eating, he said he wanted to go to the restroom, which was just across the road. Harper was afraid that he would get lost, so she asked if she wanted to take him to the men's restroom. Sawyer Ji felt very embarrassed to be looked down upon, so he took off his backpack and threw it into her arms: "Wait for me here."

After washing his hands, he saw Harper secretly putting something into his bag.

"What are you doing?" Sawyer Ji walked over and asked.

Harper stammered, "Ah, let me see if you have any tissues in your bag."

Sawyer Ji took the bag and took out a tissue and gave it to her: "Here, go ahead."

Harper, who actually didn't need to go to the bathroom, had no choice but to go to the bathroom and pretend to take a walk around.

It took more than an hour to reach the mountain, and Sawyer Ji felt like his legs and feet were not his own.

He staggered into the bustling temple. Harper looked back every few steps and asked, "Teacher Ji, can you do it?" Sawyer Ji's self-esteem was hit, and he gritted his teeth and thought, I will buy a treadmill when I get home and exercise well.

There was a small episode in the middle. Sawyer Ji covered himself tightly and was not recognized by anyone, but Harper was recognized by a little fan who often picked up Sawyer Ji to go to work. The little fan followed the clues and found Sawyer Ji behind Harper. He shouted with joy, asked for her autograph and took photos with her before sending her away.

Before leaving, the little fan said: "Nan Nan, please post more on Weibo, we all miss you very much."

Sawyer Ji then took out his mobile phone and took a picture of the Bodhisattva, preparing to post it when he got home in the evening.

There were many people in the temple hall, and the air was filled with smoke. The two large incense burners inside and outside were not enough. Harper dragged him to line up to worship the Buddha. There were three cushions in front of the Buddha. After it was finally their turn, Sawyer Ji let Harper go forward first, and then gave his seat to an old couple who were trembling and supporting each other behind them.

We can’t let the old couple worship separately.

Harper clasped her hands together, closed her eyes and said devoutly: "Please pray to the Buddha to give me a good man, preferably one with a house. If he is handsome, I can pay the mortgage together with him."

Sawyer Ji found it funny when listening from behind and thought to himself, just wait, you will still be single in two years.

Harper stood up and saw the smile in his eyes clearly. She said unhappily, "A full man does not know the hunger of a hungry man. It's great to have a partner!"

Sawyer Ji was about to feel proud, but then he felt something was wrong. Bah, bah, bah, I don’t have a partner either.

He knelt down and stared at the Buddha. Kneeling here made it feel real, as if the Buddha was also looking at him. He forgot most of what he had thought of saying just now.

It took me a long time to think of one thing: "I want to be a movie star."

The surroundings were filled with noise and his voice was quickly drowned out.

"I want to be smarter."

After saying the second wish, Sawyer Ji even laughed. This wish was too absurd and even more difficult to achieve than "I want to get rich".

He looked up at the Buddha. There was no mockery on the Buddha's face. He was still peaceful and calm. He smiled and waited for him to continue.

Sawyer Ji slowly put away his smile, knelt straight with his hands clasped together, and the sounds around him entered his ears. He automatically filtered out the noise, leaving only the gentle and pious sound of chanting lingering in his ears.

His two exposed eyes moved, and his eyelashes trembled along with them.

"I hope he lives a peaceful and healthy life."
