Olivia Tang, Wei Zijin and Han Lu wrote countless versions of the stage play, all kinds of them, but they finally decided to follow Nathaniel Zhou's suggestion and adapt it based on the classic play "Butterfly Lovers". Just as Nathaniel Zhou said, this kind of well-known script is more easily accepted by the students, and there is no need to explain it with a lot of narration.

So Olivia Tang downloaded an original script from the Internet, and then made appropriate adaptations with Wei Zijin and others, and finally formed the current script.

When writing this script, Olivia Tang and her colleagues looked up a lot of information, including watching "Sword Butterfly", a play based on the Liang Zhu romance that was released last year.

In this movie, it tells the story of Ma Wencai and Zhu Yingtai, who have been childhood sweethearts, played by Hu Ge. After watching the movie, Olivia Tang was greatly inspired and increased Ma Wencai's role, turning the originally tear-jerking plot into a story of three people. It not only writes about Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai, but also writes about Ma Wencai's inner monologue, from the protection of childhood sweethearts, to the jealousy caused by love and hate, to the final letting go.

Overall, it was OK, the timing was good, and the lines were written by Wei Zijin, which had a bit of poetry recitation, but it would be boring to ask too much of a freshman party for college students. After Nathaniel Zhou read the script, he changed a few words to make the whole script more rounded. Everyone read it once and felt different immediately.
