After a full day of activities and having a good meal and drink, Lila's mood became much brighter - until she saw the couple again.
The woman, arm in arm with her boyfriend, was peeking in front of a private room, as if she wanted to go in.
Seeing Lila coming out from the other side, her face darkened at first. Just as she was about to say something sarcastic, the middle-aged man pulled her hard, indicating that she should restrain herself in this kind of situation.
The woman curled her lips reluctantly, rolled her eyes at Lila, turned her head, and whispered to the middle-aged man: "We have been waiting at the door for so long, are we just waiting? Didn't you say that you have met Miss Pei twice? It's no big deal to go over and toast her a glass of wine. Are you sure she will kick you out?"
The middle-aged man touched his beer belly and said, "What do you know? Miss Pei is of a certain level, and so are we. In the business world, if you don't have any self-awareness, you deserve to be kicked out."
