I shouldn't run down there, he thought. But when he came to his senses, he had already run down two floors with one bare foot. His foot was covered in black ash, and the small window in the corridor looked like a dark hole, with only a small piece of light falling on the back of his foot. Caleb Zhou leaned against the wall and looked at the light on the back of his foot. He was stunned for a long time before he sighed. He turned around and went back again.

He climbed up the stairs holding onto the wall, his memories playing out one by one. He wondered how he knew Ethan Yong, probably at a party, when he was holding a glass of wine and chatting with others, someone pointed at Ethan Yong from a distance and whispered to him as if telling him a secret, "That guy, Yong Dudu's eldest son, Ethan Yong."

He sat silently in the place where Ethan Yong had sat, and there seemed to be some residual warmth on the sofa. He closed the book, turned off the light, and closed the window. As if the man had never been here, he returned to bed and stopped thinking about it.

The dream was long and fragmented. In the dream, Ethan Yong pushed him out of the window, and he fell from a high place. But it was not just him, Ethan Yong was with him. In the cold wind, he heard the man laughing and saying that dying under the peony flowers would make him a romantic ghost. They kept falling, but they did not explode into a blood-red flower on the ground, but fell into the familiar car.
