Spark At First Contact Chapter 17

After an autumn rain, the weather is cold, the dew is heavy, and the yellow leaves are sparse.

A thin layer of mist lingered in the campus in the early morning, and the first-year students who were about to have military training gathered outside the teaching building. Lily counted the number of students twice, and there was still one person missing from the class. When Grace was about to contact the parents, Jason finally arrived late, dragging his huge luggage.

"Why are you carrying so many things? Are you moving?" Grace watched Jason struggling to carry a 28-inch suitcase up the stairs. "Military training is meant to make you suffer. Do you want to have a party?"

After successfully moving the suitcases, Jason breathed a sigh of relief. He then picked up the heavy backpack on the ground and answered the head teacher with gritted teeth: "What I have here are all English-Chinese dictionaries... Oxford Dictionary... New Concept English, and listening tapes... My head can be cut off, but English cannot be cut off!"

As he spoke, his body could no longer bear the weight of the package. He bent his waist and almost fell to the ground, and his back felt like it was carrying a small mountain. Even so, he still had to tell the teacher: "The power of knowledge is about to crush me..."
