The double doors of the morgue were pushed open slowly, and a man with slow steps walked in pushing a cleaning cart, turning on the light on the wall.
A temporary worker at the hospital, wearing a blue work suit, stood at the door and looked around the morgue with a grim look.
There were three rows of morgue cabinets on the west side of the room, an office desk on the east side, and the lavender curtains hanging on the opposite wall were motionless. In the center was a corpse covered with a white cloth, and nothing else.
The temporary worker stopped the cleaning vehicle, walked heavily to the mobile bed, and lifted the body off the bed. Simply and roughly, he turned and walked towards the three rows of morgue cabinets. His movements became unusually gentle, and he opened a cabinet door, and cold air instantly overflowed.
In the cabinet lay the stiff body of a young girl, her eyes wide open, her lips half open, the skin on her face ulcerated and tightened, and her bones clearly visible.
