The gap between the door panels was very narrow, just enough for one person to pass sideways. Lin Yang flashed into the door holding the Night Pearl. The area inside was unexpectedly deep and wide. The light of the Night Pearl seemed to be swallowed up by something, and could only illuminate a three-foot area around it. Further away was the thick black as ink. Standing alone in it seemed as if one was in the void, giving people a feeling of endless loneliness and emptiness.

It is very easy to lose your way if you wander around in the dark, and you may even be trapped in a small room. Lin Yang has had this experience more than once, so after entering the room, he did not rush to grope forward, but first touched the wall on one side and then walked forward. In this way, even if he could not find a way out, he could return to the door after turning around.

His fingertips slowly stroked the smooth and shiny wall. With the dim light of the night pearl, he could see a large colorful picture painted on the wall. After years of baptism, it had become mottled and only a few details could be roughly distinguished.

"It should be a record of the life of the tomb owner." In the silence, Liam suddenly spoke in a low voice, still taciturn. Lin Yang's resistance just now had already been very obvious. Liam was not an enthusiastic person. On the contrary, his words were very dull. Therefore, the two of them did not speak again after entering the door.

Lin Yang remained silent and observed the murals on the wall. At the beginning of the picture, a man in brocade clothes was holding a baby, with a group of people kneeling around him, as if to congratulate him. It should be depicting the birth of the tomb owner. Then a man in elaborate clothes handed a brocade feather robe to the kneeling people. Lin Yang walked forward slowly. In the next picture, the tomb owner hosted a banquet for the guests in the hall, with people toasting and chatting. Then, everyone in the hall bowed to the man at the head of the hall. Lin Yang was about to continue watching, but his wrist was suddenly grabbed by a cold hand.

Lin Yang glanced at Liam, pursed her lips, and pulled her hand back again. However, Liam did not look at her. His eyes were fixed on the darkness behind Lin Yang. Lin Yang reacted instantly, slowly took the night pearl with his other hand, turned around and looked back.

Seven feet behind Lin Yang, at the junction of darkness and light, there was a figure standing faintly, following the two of them silently not far away. Only the outline could be roughly seen, and the whole body was pitch black as if shrouded in fog.

It was really shocking to suddenly see someone other than yourself in the tomb. Lin Yang was startled for a moment, but quickly calmed himself down and stared at the other person's movements. The two of them confronted each other in the dark for a long time. The man opposite him never moved at all, as if he was also waiting for Lin Yang's reaction. Lin Yang took time into consideration and didn't want to waste any more time, so he watched the other person slowly step forward.

The cuffs of his sleeves were quickly pulled back by a force. Lin Yang paused slightly, frowned and looked back, only to see Liam also staring at him. There was no ripple in his dark and deep eyes, but his hands refused to loosen even a little. Lin Yang's heart, which had not calmed down with great difficulty, swayed with her again. He pursed his thin lips, and finally avoided his sight and broke free from Liam's hand. He stepped forward and rushed directly towards the black shadow, trying to subdue the man before he intervened. He came within three feet of him and suddenly stopped.

The flat, dull face had blurred features, a hole where the nose should have been, the skin was grayish yellow, and the eyes were dull - it was a clay statue.

Lin Yang let out a light breath, and after confirming that there was no danger, he turned around to greet Liam. When he turned around, he found that Liam was following behind him. He couldn't help but frowned a little more. Why did this person insist on following him? With her current health, could he still protect her?

Lin Yang was unhappy and didn't want to get involved with Liam. He just observed the statue in front of him. After a careful look, he found that there were hundreds of shadows behind the clay statue. They were all clay statues in various postures, sitting or lying, with vivid expressions. They were lined up on both sides of the hall. In front of each statue was a wooden table with many pottery fragments scattered on it.

The two of them looked around the hall separately, and Liam said calmly: "It's a painting on the wall." It seems that the owner of the tomb was a very extravagant person when he was alive, and he was unwilling to give up his enjoyment after his death, so he held a never-ending night banquet in this hall.

The clay sculptures were arranged one after another for dozens of feet, and at the end a staircase leading upwards could be vaguely seen. Presumably, the coffin of the tomb owner was on the platform. By finding out the identity of the tomb owner, perhaps clues about the corpse in the tomb could be found. If she found the person she was looking for, her relationship of exploitation with Liam would come to an end.

When they reached the bottom of the stairs, Lin Yang didn't know why he didn't feel happy at all. Instead, Liam stepped onto the stairs first, "Let's go."

The stairs looked extremely narrow and long when viewed from below, but in reality it was just an illusion hidden in the darkness. After the two men had walked only a hundred steps or so, the top platform was already in front of them, which was beyond their expectations.

There was neither a coffin nor any corpse on the platform, not even a statue of the tomb owner. Only a square pool occupied the entire space.

"Here...how come there is no coffin?" Lin Yang's eyes showed obvious surprise. She looked at Liam in a daze. Walking from the corridor to the back room, she had basically figured out the layout of the entire tomb. This was a tomb built strictly according to specifications. This back room should be the deepest part of the tomb. If it wasn't here, Lin Yang really couldn't think of where else to put the coffin.

We have come this far, are we going to return without any reward? What if we run into the zombies again on the way? Lin Yang was unwilling to give up, so he squatted down and tried to touch the sinking water, but before he could touch it, Liam grabbed his hand.

Lin Yang struggled twice, but didn't dare to use much strength. He raised his head helplessly, "Let me go first. I'm just checking to see if there are any mechanisms hidden in the pool. I won't do anything reckless. What if the coffin is sunk to the bottom of the pool by the tomb owner?"

Liam lowered his eyes and looked at her, shaking his head lightly, "I don't know how many years the pool water has been here. If it is poisonous, you..." Before he finished speaking, he suddenly fell silent for a moment, lowered his body, grabbed Lin Yang's hand and put it back into the pool.

"Hey, what are you doing!" Lin Yang pulled his hand back in shock, and glared at Liam with a pale face, "Go out and take revenge if you have any grudges. I don't want to stay here with those zombies."

Liam's expression remained unchanged. He tilted his head and looked at Lin Yang, "Did you feel anything just now?"

Lin Yang wiped his hands on Liam's sleeves twice and glared at her fiercely, "What do you mean, are you trying to take revenge on me?"

"This water is living water."

Living water is water with a source, which means that the bottom of the pool is connected to somewhere in the tomb. Lin Yang was stunned for a moment, concentrating for a moment, and indeed, he felt a slow flow between his fingers.

"There may be an opening at the bottom of the pool leading to somewhere else. It's worth a try." Lin Yang thought about it for a moment and quickly made a decision. At this moment, there were no other clues. Instead of going back the same way to face the corpse, it would be better to go into the water to see if there was another way out.

The opening of the pool is not big, only about ten feet long, but it looks very deep, as if it is connected to an endless abyss underneath. Just by looking at it, one can imagine the oppressive and suffocating feeling of being in it in the darkness.

"I'll go down and take a look first. If there's no danger, you can go in the water." Lin Yang stood up and stretched his body. He knew Liam would definitely not agree, so he used a tough tone, "You don't have to say more. You are injured now. Going in the water with me will only drag me down. It's better to wait here for me to understand the situation before going in together."

Liam fell silent after hearing that, and after a moment, nodded in agreement. Lin Yang smiled with relief. Worried that this man would still disobey, he handed the other two luminous pearls he had been carrying to Liam, "This is all my fortune. If I lose it, I'll ask you to compensate me." Without waiting for Liam to answer, he took a deep breath and jumped into the pool.

It was dark and hazy at the bottom of the pool, and it was difficult to see clearly. There was almost no light as soon as he entered the water. Lin Yang held the wall of the pool with one hand and dived slowly. He did not dare to go too fast because his five senses were blocked. Fortunately, people who practiced martial arts had long breaths, so they would not feel suffocated in a short time. After walking for a while, his feet touched the bottom of the pool. There was an unknown substance at the bottom of the pool, which had accumulated into a thick layer. When Lin Yang stirred it, it immediately scattered, lingering around him and undulating, making the view in front of him even darker. Lin Yang squinted his eyes and groped the bottom of the pool inch by inch, and finally found a rusty copper ring in the right corner, which looked like a door knocker.

Lin Yang changed his posture in the water, he pushed his feet against the bottom of the pool, gripped the copper ring and pulled upwards with force. The copper door had not been opened for a long time, and the gaps were already full of rust. It was not easier to open than the black door. Lin Yang used all his strength and could only slowly pull the copper door open. When it was fully opened, his hands were exhausted. Just as he was about to go up and tell Liam, he suddenly felt a very fine stream of water on the back of his hand, which seemed to be there and not there, and soon disappeared. Lin Yang stopped and looked around, and could only see the floating catkins rising and falling, which felt very uncomfortable when they touched his body.

Lin Yang concentrated for a moment, but didn't notice anything unusual. She thought it was because she was too nervous, and then she continued to swim upwards. Seeing a halo above her head getting closer and closer, Lin Yang estimated that she had reached the center of the pool. She was about to speed up and swim upwards, when a cold and stiff hand suddenly grabbed her ankle and pulled her down.
