Bai Tianheng held Ryan Blake in his arms, blocking out the earth-shaking screams and noise in front of the building behind him.
Ryan Blake was probably in too much pain, and he grabbed the corner of Bai Tianheng's clothes with one hand, his knuckles turning white. He didn't cry, but after being hugged, he choked up and whispered, "We are all human beings."
"Leave them alone."
This hug broke Bai Tianheng's heart. For the first time, he regretted not contacting Ryan Blake for all these years and not asking others about Ryan Blake.
If he knew, even a little bit, he would chew the word "gone" into pieces and swallow it back into his stomach.
