Once upon a time there were two people living in a village. Their names are the same. Both are named Klaus. But one had four horses, and the other had only one. In order to distinguish the two of them clearly, everyone called the one with four horses Big Claus and the one with only one horse Little Claus. Now we can hear what each of them did, because this is a true story.
Little Claus plowed the fields for Big Claus every day of the week, and even lent him his only horse. Big Claus used his four horses to help him, but only one day a week, and that was on Sunday. OK! How little Claus loved to crack his whip over the five animals! On this day it was as if they had all become his own property.
The sun was shining cheerfully, and the bells on all the church towers were ringing the church bells. Everyone put on their most beautiful clothes, carried hymnbooks under their arms, and went to the church to listen to the pastor's sermon. They all saw Little Claus plowing the fields with his five animals. He was so happy that he cracked his whip over the animals, shouting at the same time: "My five horses! Work hard!"
"You can't shout like that!" Big Claus said. "Because you only have one horse."
But as the churchgoers passed by, little Claus forgot that he was not supposed to say such things. He shouted again: "My five horses, work hard!"
