Story of the Trial Marriage
In "Trial Marriage Game," Ella Wen, a recent graduate from Zhejiang University, embarks on a journey to revitalize rural agricultural products through her work in an e-commerce company. Despite her prestigious academic background, Ella Wen faces criticism from her roommate, Rachel Yang, for choosing a less conventional career path. Nevertheless, Ella Wen remains determined, driven by the belief that her efforts will benefit farmers and enhance her career.
Unbeknownst to many, Ella Wen is married to Alex, a member of a century-old noble family from Hong Kong. Their marriage, arranged by their elders, is devoid of romance and rooted in familial duty. Alex, who also reluctantly agreed to the marriage, is focused on his ambitious plans to expand his family's media empire in Beijing.
The narrative unfolds as Ella Wen's work takes her to Lanshan, Xichuan Province, to address the unsold Leibo navel oranges. Meanwhile, Alex grapples with maintaining the family's reputation and the pressures of his arranged marriage. Their paths cross unexpectedly in Beijing, leading to a series of encounters that force them to confront their feelings and the reality of their marriage.
As Ella Wen navigates the challenges of her job and her complicated relationship with Alex, she discovers layers of his character previously unknown to her. Their interactions, initially formal and distant, evolve into a complex dance of emotions and unspoken understanding. The story explores themes of duty, personal ambition, and the slow blossoming of respect and affection between two individuals bound by tradition but driven by their own dreams.
