Jack was so embarrassed that he didn't know what to do. He stood at the door like a sand sculpture, motionless, watching Ji's mother welcome Ruan Fenghe in.
"Jack, what are you still doing standing there?"
Jack: "Ah? Oh, here it comes."
Ruan Fenghe didn't bring much gifts, just a bag of things wrapped in exquisite golden cardboard. There was no brand on it, but you could tell it was good stuff. Mother Ji handed the things to Aunt Li, said "please sit down", and ran into the kitchen, saying she wanted to make some fruit.
Only Jack and Ruan Fenghe were left in the living room.
