Hazel, who was murderous and owed her boyfriend, did not last long.
The next morning, when Julian knocked on the door to wake her up for breakfast, she curled up on the bed like a dying shrimp, unable to move, and said lowly to the guest room door: “I can’t get up, I won’t eat…”
“Is not feeling well?” Julian frowned and twisted the doorknob. He stopped halfway through the screw and confirmed, “I’m here.”
“Oh…” Hazel replied feebly.
Julian opened the door and went in, and at a glance she saw her wrapped in the quilt, only half of her head exposed, and looked at him grievously.
