Yu Oliver Pei didn't want to argue with her.
It was pitch dark in the wilderness, and he listened to the sound of the cold wind blowing past his ears. He thought that if something went wrong, he wouldn't have to go back and could just stay here to keep the land guy company.
He wrapped his coat tightly around himself and touched the jade pendant on his collar. Ethan Lu had been silent for the entire afternoon and he didn't know what he was busy with or whether he would come to see him.
He lit a cigarette in a distracted state, and had just smoked half of it when he heard a car horn not far down the mountain.
