Terror From the Feast Chapter 2

My name is Riley Ritsu, I'm Japanese, 41 years old, and an employee of a commodity company.

There's something following me.

Even though I can't see it, I know...it's always following me.

"I wish you a pleasant journey."

The staff handed me my boarding pass and asked, "Did you have a nice trip?"

No... this is not a journey, this is a journey home.

This is an experiment, a life-threatening experiment for us, the cursed ones.

I held my boarding pass in my hand and walked onto the jet bridge.

I didn't dare look back, and the blurry image of the staff was reflected on the side window.

The staff member seemed to be looking at me, looking at my back.

Her gaze was very piercing, but she quickly retracted it.

My pace slowed down.

The cabin was right in front of me, and it was silent inside.

"Sir, do you need any help?"

The flight attendant walked over to me with a smile.

"13F."

"Okay, follow me please."

The flight attendant took me to my seat, which was an aisle seat.

After placing my backpack on the luggage rack, I breathed a sigh of relief that it didn't seem to be following.

Maybe, it will succeed this time?

"Hello."

At this moment, a voice that I had heard not long ago appeared beside me!

This is the strange young man who kept looking at himself in the mirror in the bathroom. There was no expression on his face. He looked a bit like someone I know.

He actually sat next to me.

After a quick hello, I lay down and so far, everything has been normal.

The young man next to me doesn’t seem to like talking, which is good. I am not good at being polite to others. Maybe this is why I am still a company employee in my forties.

Even more unfortunate is that I encountered something like this, something that I cannot explain to anyone, something from another world...

My eyelids began to feel heavy. I was so tired.

I flew here from Japan yesterday and flew back immediately today.

However, if this method is feasible, it should be left in a foreign country now. Maybe it can come back, but it will never be so fast. As long as we can survive these three days, we will succeed...

------------

Wenyer turned her head to glance at the Japanese man she had met in the bathroom before.

He fell asleep with a smile on his face, as if he was dreaming about something.

Wenyer withdrew his gaze and opened a book.

This is a book written in Japanese, introducing a traditional Japanese drama - Noh.

This type of drama is based on traditional Japanese literary works and is performed with masks, costumes, props and dance.

Wenyer was not interested in this. The reason he was flipping through the book was because the last postcard Qin Ye sent her was a Noh mask.

Noh mask---a mask unique to Noh theater.

Wenyer turned to the part he had already read and looked at the detailed introduction of the strange mask in the corner of the book.

This Noh mask is called "snake".

Horns have grown on its head due to jealousy and resentment, its eyes are wide open, its face is red and it has no ears. This mask image shows the ultimate form of resentment. The lack of ears means that it has lost the channel to perceive the world, cannot hear human words, and has turned into the purest evil spirit.

This is the Noh mask on the postcard Qin Ye sent me - "snake".

The address on the postcard was the Shimane Prefectural Ancient Izumo History Museum in Japan, which was also Wenyer's destination.

After closing the book, Wenyer pinched the bridge of his nose.

He didn't care whether Qin Ye lived or died, but he wanted to know the whereabouts of his mother.

Qin also said that he would tell himself on his twentieth birthday.

And now, his birthday is approaching, but Qin Ye is missing.

Just when I was about to close my eyes and take a nap, the Japanese man next to me suddenly sat up from a half-lying position, as if he had suddenly woken up from a dream.

There was sweat on Riley Ritsu's forehead. He quickly glanced around and then looked down at his feet.

His body froze.

Wenyer followed his gaze and saw a palm-sized red rag doll lying at the feet of the Japanese man.

Wenyer, who was used to seeing black, white and gray colors after arriving at the airport, felt that the red color of this rag doll was as glaring as blood the moment she saw it.

Did the person in front fall down?

Riley also thought so. He was unwilling to consider the worst possible outcome.

He bent down, picked up the rag doll, and patted the seat in front of him.

"Excuse me, is this your doll?"

Although his Chinese intonation was strange, there was no problem with his choice of words and sentences.

The passenger in front seemed to have fallen asleep as well. After all, it was an early morning flight. It was only after a while that she became aware of Riley's presence.

"Are you calling me?"

She turned her head, revealing a face without any facial features.

Riley felt his scalp tingling and his vision became blurry.

He heard a shrill scream. It was that of a young girl. The dark and narrow room, the bloated body, the exaggerated grin and the cruel torture intertwined into a bloody world.

Her body was dragged, her head was cut off, and she rolled to a corner with her eyes wide open, staring at her broken body in despair.

The ugly, fat body twisted its limbs, as if in joy, or as if in spasm.

Her pupils gradually dilated, and her eyes, which were originally staring at her body, suddenly turned and met Riley Ritsu's gaze.

From those ink-black eyes, Riley saw the most terrifying malice.

"No!"

Riley screamed, waking up all the passengers in the cabin.

"Sir, do you need any help?"

The flight attendant walked over quickly, bent down and asked.

"She..." Riley Ritsu raised his hand and pointed, and the female passenger in front who turned around showed a strange look on her face.

"What's wrong with me?" the female passenger asked in confusion.

Riley Ritsu suddenly turned around and looked at Wenyer, and said anxiously: "You... saw it, sir?"

Wenyer shook his head, also looking puzzled.

Riley Ritsu's face turned pale and he shook his head at the flight attendant: "I'm sorry, I had a nightmare."

The flight attendant politely shook her head and tried to calm the other awakened passengers.

At this time, Wenyer suddenly said: "Can you help me change my seat?"

The flight attendant apologized: "I'm sorry, sir. In principle, we don't allow you to change seats at will during the flight."

Wenyer glanced at Riley Ritsu and said, "I have panic disorder. His sudden startle will cause me to have a panic attack. If you agree that the airline will be responsible for any accidents, then I will accept the decision not to change seats."

The young flight attendant was undecided and chose to report the situation to the chief purser. Wenyer's problem was quickly resolved.

He was assigned an empty seat by the window.

Owen in the front row asked, "What's wrong?"

"It's okay." Wenyer didn't say anything.

But his finger joints had turned white from being pinched.

Just now, he saw it.

Not only did the female passenger's face disappear, but also this moment.

The red doll in the Japanese man's hand had grown dense black hair. Twisted, pale hands stretched out from the sleeves of its decorative red kimono. The nails on its fingertips were sharper than the claws of wild beasts.

The dense black hair seemed to come alive, quietly climbing up the Japanese man's waist and slowly wrapping around him.

Riley sensed something and immediately looked down, his face suddenly turning deathly pale!

"no no!"

He screamed again.

"Sir, if you continue like this we will make special arrangements for you."

The flight attendant came over and said.

However, this time, all the bones in Riley Ritsu's body made a "crackling..." sound.

His body began to bend strangely from the waist, his face turned from pale to blood red, blood foam overflowed from the corners of his mouth, and his groans and cries for help became weaker and weaker.

"Sir! Sir!"

The chief flight attendant also noticed something was wrong, his face changed, and he hurried to pull Riley Ritsu.

However, there was a "click" sound------

Riley's body was broken from the waist down.

All the strength in his body relaxed and he collapsed on the seat like mud, staring at the top of the cabin with his eyes wide open, and died.
