There was only a small warm yellow night light in the room, and even such a cozy atmosphere couldn't bring any softness to Derek.

Liam stared blankly at Derek's back, his thoughts uncontrollably starting to recall the past.

It had been a long time since he had thought about life quietly like this.

If Derek must be defined, he should be the turning point in his poor life. Liam used to be so humble and cautious in secretly falling in love with him. Even if the relationship ended without any problems, he still felt that it was right.

After leaving Derek, Liam's life seemed to be on the hook; especially after his career was successful, love has become the least thing to worry about. It's just that all "confidence" does not include Derek.

The white moonlight in front of him was a real existence that he could only see up close in his dreams every night. Liam curled his lips and suddenly said, "Derek, we really haven't seen each other for a long time."

Liam squinted and looked at the searchlight that was still on outside the window.

Derek lacks love without realizing it.

But his temper was obviously bad, "Liam, answer me, what is your relationship with him?"

Liam said lightly: "Ex-boyfriend, that's all."

Derek snorted lightly and said nothing.

In the past, Derek's desire to control Liam was so severe that he would be jealous for two days if Liam said anything to the boy selling mineral water on the roadside.

Does this mean you don’t love me anymore, so you don’t care?

Liam tilted his head and saw Derek's hand clenched tightly on the window sill, with veins popping out on the back of his hand.

Liam's lips curled up.

It's a pity that he went home with Derek again just to make Derek fall in love with him, and then dump Derek, this perverted control freak.

Who made Derek imprison him in an almost pathological manner three years ago? If it hadn't been for those... training, he wouldn't have been able to forget this man.

Of course, Liam would not admit that the main reason why he couldn't let go of Derek was because he had never been with him officially. It was not the relationship between owner and dog, but lovers.

Byron was still shouting with a loudspeaker: "Liam, why don't you come out? Aren't you afraid that I will tell that person about your past?"

Derek answered: "What's your past that you can't tell me?"

"No." Liam breathed out, "Call the police. Byron is already disturbing the public."

Soon, the searchlight outside the window was turned off, and Liam stood beside the bed, "Go back to sleep."

Derek walked to Liam step by step, "I thought you understood my hint."

"OK, good night."

After saying that, the moment Liam turned around, he was hugged by Derek from behind.

Liam's heart was calm, he thought: What do I want?

Derek buried his cheek in the crook of Liam's neck and rubbed it. His breath was filled with the smell of Liam, and he sighed.

Liam went to take off Derek's hand on his waist, "I'm going to sleep."

"Together." Derek added, "I will simply sleep with you in my arms."

"Huh..." Liam hooked the iron chain at the foot of the bed with his toes, "Do I believe it?"

Derek remained silent, and was then driven out of the room by Liam indifferently.

Liam thought he could have a good sleep, but he was awake until the early morning. The bird calls that used to be joyful were now mocking him.

He had taken a long vacation from the company and was now at the place where the incident had happened many times in his midnight dreams. He didn't know what to do for a moment.

When he was about to get up and get out of bed, there was a sound of metal collision. Liam looked down and saw that an iron chain had been tied to his ankle at some point.

He opened the door, "Derek, when did you bolt it for me? Get out!"

He obviously didn't sleep all night, when did that b1tch do it?

But Derek was not in the room.

Liam stood by the door and waited for ten minutes before Derek finally appeared with fried dough sticks and soy milk.

Liam's patience ran out, "What have you been doing?"

"We haven't seen each other for a few years, why did your temper grow so fast?" Derek's expression didn't look good, but his tone was okay.

Putting down the breakfast in his hands, Derek squatted at Liam's feet and unchained him, "Eat first."

Liam kicked Derek away and walked to the dining table with his arms folded, "I don't like these things a long time ago. Derek, you have changed a lot. How can you learn to be a good wife and mother?"

Derek put his hands in his trouser pockets, still with some of the ruffian spirit of his youth, "So, Liam, do you mean to say that you dislike me? Do you want to leave?"

Liam turned to look at the breakfast on the table. He did like this kind of warm breakfast three years ago, but he doesn't like it anymore.

Derek sneered, "My dog said last night that he had nowhere to go and could only stay at his old owner's house. Did the dog eat your brain in one night?"

Liam paused. His mind had been full of thoughts since he stepped into the house, and for a moment he even forgot the excuse he had made up last night.

However, Derek still pretended not to know and stared at him with a world-weary look like "You are wronging a good man."

Liam had no choice but to sit down and eat. He had just taken a sip of soy milk when Derek asked him disdainfully, "Have you washed up?"

Liam was so angry that he completely forgot about it. Now that he brought it up on purpose, Liam felt even more uncomfortable, "I want you to take care of it, eat it quickly!"

"Liam, please correct your attitude. I am your landlord now. How can anyone yell at the landlord without paying the rent?"

Liam cursed in his mind and picked up his phone, "WeChat payment code, I will transfer money to you now."

Derek nodded, "Add a friend?"

Three years ago, Liam's WeChat ID was bound to the mobile phone number specially assigned to him by Derek. After escaping, he never logged into that account again.

Liam subconsciously wanted to follow his words, but suddenly remembered that his social circle of friends was full of messy emotional debts, and immediately switched to work WeChat and scanned Derek.

"There is one more." Derek obviously knew Liam's behavior and habits very well.

Liam put down his phone, "It's inconvenient."

"I want to join." Derek just looked at Liam quietly.

His eyes were affectionate and his slightly weak attitude made Liam even more unable to resist.

Liam pretended not to hear, and after eating, he said he was going out to do errands, but was stopped by Derek.

"Little one, who allowed you to leave? What are you going to do?" Derek rested his hand on the cabinet at the entrance and smiled harmlessly.

Liam's mind was in a mess, and his heart beat faster as soon as Derek came near him.

This doesn't seem right.

While thinking about it, Derek touched Liam's phone and opened it with his face in a dignified manner.

Liam suddenly panicked, "What are you doing? There is no one like you. Do you understand that this is an invasion of personal privacy?"

Taking advantage of his height, Derek used Liam's life account to add himself before returning the phone. When he stopped, he rubbed Liam's slender wrist a few times, "You are still so thin."

The panic in Liam's heart never went away. After getting the phone, he was about to say a few more words to Derek when he saw something behind Derek's arm from the corner of his eye.

He pulled Derek's hand away and saw that a thin chain had been wrapped around his wrist at some point, and a small combination lock was hung on it.

"Derek! Are you sick?! Why are you locking me up? You are infringing on citizens' right to personal freedom, do you know!"
