"Creaky---" the dilapidated door was pushed open again.

The young woman who came in had disheveled hair and was covered in mud.

The temple was still as it was before, with a damp, dusty smell. The doors and windows were old, and the walls were mottled, but the pure white statue enshrined in the temple was spotless. It lowered its head slightly, looking at the visitors with gentle eyes.

Tonight, even the mountains were in a dead silence that made people panic. There were no frogs croaking, no insects chirping. Without the spirits, the fluorescent mountain seemed to have aged instantly, losing its reassuring atmosphere and its vitality. The dark clouds covered the brilliance of the stars and the moon, and the surroundings were pitch black, so Yangyang had to move forward by groping.

Yangyang knelt down and slowly crawled forward until her fingers touched a corner of the cold stone clothing. She felt relieved and slid down along the corner of the stone statue's clothing and sat down.
