A plate of seasonal green wild vegetables, a plate of well-pickled bacon, and a bowl of crucian carp soup that had been stewed to a milky white and thick consistency. These simple wild vegetables were carefully warmed by Su Niang on the stove over charcoal fire, and when they were served, they still exuded an alluring aroma.
