Charlie Xie worked on the cards until 1:30 in the morning before going to bed.
In the dream, the Twelve Beauties of Jinling and Jia Baoyu he created all appeared in the Grand View Garden, recreating many classic scenes in A Dream of Red Mansions. Those vivid characters seemed to exist in real life, so when Charlie Xie woke up the next morning, he felt as if he had watched the TV series A Dream of Red Mansions again.
The Grand View Garden is a luxurious residence built by the Jia family to welcome Empress Yuanchun home to visit her relatives. Most of the stories in A Dream of Red Mansions take place in the Grand View Garden, where Jia Baoyu and several girls among the Twelve Beauties live. The young children recite poems, paint, play the musical instrument and drink tea here every day, as if they were living in a paradise far away from the disputes, leading a carefree, poetic life.
However, although the Grand View Garden seems far away from the world, it cannot escape the influence of the family's fate. The four major families go from prosperity to decline, and the atmosphere in the Grand View Garden also changes from joy to sorrow. This process of change is closely related to the main line of the story. When talking about Dream of Red Mansions, the first scene that comes to mind is naturally the Grand View Garden.
As early as when he was making the character cards of the Twelve Beauties of Jinling, Charlie Xie had thought of making the Grand View Garden into a scene card.
