Fu Sheng, who was obsessed with classics, did not have any high demands on material desires, as long as he could read books.
But just because he didn't make any requests doesn't mean that the Confucian disciples who followed him didn't have any requests either.
The reason why these Confucian scholars were willing to follow him here was partly because they, like Fu Sheng, were committed to studying classics.
