The female crew member had a nightmare in which she was chased by a group of dead people, and was finally caught up and strangled.
She dreamed that she was dead, and she thought she was dead, so when she woke up she was still a little confused and at a loss.
This state was indeed somewhat creepy, especially after everyone read her brain waves and made some limited reconstruction of her previous dreams.
Because I dreamed that I was killed, did I really stop breathing?
