It has been several years since there have been no fireworks during festivals in urban Beijing. Standing in the empty living room, Luke Jiang felt that the world had never been quieter, as if he was suddenly the only one left. He realized that he seemed to have done the stupidest thing in the world. He had lost his most precious treasure.
Luke Jiang didn't know where Owen He would go, or if he had made any new close friends in the past few years. The only thing he knew was the mobile phone number in his address book, and his phone was still turned off there.
Luke Jiang was in a daze and even wondered whether Owen He was already with the doctor. For the first time, he was timid and deliberately resisted those associations. Luke Jiang knew very well that if someone dared to touch his Owen He , he could kill them with a kitchen knife.
Before you know it, it’s New Year’s Day. January 1, 2015. This was supposed to be the fifteenth year that Luke Jiang and Owen He were together. I have stumbled to this day, and I can’t tell whether it is the fifteenth year of falling in love or the fifteenth year of acquaintance. I don’t know if it’s just a relationship or this short human life.
Luke Jiang had been smoking all night. When the sky was slightly bright, he stood up and staggered. He looked at his watch. It was 7:10.
