After leaving the town, it was just as Meng Zhenzhi had said. They walked for two days and did not encounter any villages or towns along the way. There was not even a post station to rest on the road.

Victor didn't think it was a big deal that he couldn't get a good rest, but he felt very uncomfortable not being able to take a bath. He couldn't sleep well in the carriage at night. As a result, his eyes became a little darker and his listless look made people feel distressed.

Although Meng Zhenzhi didn't say anything, he actually checked on Victor's condition from time to time. But for some reason, after coming out of the inn, Victor's attitude seemed to become a little cold again, and he didn't like to talk.

On the third day, we finally saw some people. It was actually just an inn with very few people coming and going, but that was still worth being thankful for.

After taking a hot bath, Victor finally came back to life. He moved sideways around the screen. The whole room was still filled with hot steam. A bowl of ginger tea had been prepared on the table to ward off the cold for the guests.
