After the bus arrives at Mantis River, it will pass by the Mantis River again and return to Kunming via Kun'an Expressway. When Evan got off the bus, he met Gabriel's puzzled and curious eyes.

"I didn't hear you clearly in the car just now," Gabriel looked at him curiously, "Did you want to say something to me just now?"

The young man stuffed the pocket book back into his coat pocket and smiled slightly when he heard this: "Did you hear it wrong?"

Gabriel tilted his head, and seeing that the young man had no intention of continuing the conversation, he stopped the topic there.

If Evan didn't want to talk, he wouldn't pester him. He would just listen when the other person wanted to talk. He would listen to what Evan wanted to say, and he wouldn't ask about things that the young man didn't want to talk about.

This will be a relatively safe distance, and the relationship will not feel too close or too distant.

The banks of the Mantis River are emerald green under the midday sun, and the sea of   sunflowers in the distance blooms brilliantly like the scorching sun. Gabriel sits alone under the pine forest, with an iPad covered in a black silicone shell on his lap. The boy holds a white electronic pen and leaves a black mark on the blank canvas.

His eyes wandered aimlessly, silently passing through the golden sea of   flowers and resting on Evan.

Evan stood in the sea of   flowers, his eyes swept over the brown bird flying overhead, and then he leaned down to sniff the scent of the sunflower. Although he knew that the sunflower itself had no fragrance, it only had the unique scent of the plant's green leaves.

The boy paused with his electronic pen tip, lowered his head and began to draft skillfully. The white pen tip slid across the rough paper-like film, making a rustling sound.

His pen tip outlines the lines of the human body, the long black hair blowing in the wind, the thin khaki coat and the light gray casual suit.

He has more than a dozen different Evan saved in his iPad, most of which he completed alone late at night, and each one is highly completed.

The latest one was completed before leaving for Kunming. At that time, Evan was lying on the sofa with a doll in his arms.

Evan in the painting has a gentle smile. When Gabriel paints, he likes to use light watercolors to cover large areas. He always feels that watercolor is the most suitable coloring method for Evan.

Gabriel looked up and saw Evan walking towards him not far away, as if the person in the painting had left the canvas at this moment, the emerald green pine forest, the emerald green water of the Mantis River, and the handsome man with gentle eyes walking towards him.

Gabriel's Adam's apple rolled slightly. Compared with the painting skills he had learned since childhood, it seemed that they were not as good as the creation of nature after all.

The tip of the god's pen just waved lightly in front of him, and the picture drawn was enough to be called a treasure.

"Is this me?"

Evan stood in front of him, holding a basket of strawberries in his hand. The young man leaned over, his dark eyes flashing with surprise. He never knew that Gabriel knew how to paint, and he was so skilled at it.

"That's amazing," Evan sat on the ground next to Gabriel and bent his legs, "Are you an art student?"

Gabriel shook his head. "I learned to paint when I was a child, and I didn't stop this habit even after my parents passed away. Thanks to the savings left by my parents and the occasional part-time job, I was able to continue this hobby."

He lowered his eyes. "I like art, but it's just a hobby."

"Have you chosen your college major?"

"Maybe business, human resources or marketing?" Gabriel hesitated. "I don't seem to have a favorite major, nor do I have anything in particular that I want to learn."

"What about Mr. Evan? Will you return to Paris in the future?"

Evan unscrewed the ice water he had bought and poured it on the pile of strawberries. After a simple wash, he handed the tip of the strawberry on the top to the child beside him.

"I don't know." Evan paused and gave the other party an honest answer.

"Between ideal and reality, everything I do may be too idealistic. I pursue perfection and want to find the perfect balance between ideal and reality, but most things in this world are not as good as people think."

"There are too many things like broken mirrors that can't be mended, answers that can't be found."

Gabriel took the strawberry and took a bite. Summer strawberries are not as sweet as winter strawberries, but slightly sour, but more strawberry-flavored than the latter.

"But in other words, I didn't come back to Yunnan to find any meaning." Evan laughed softly, crossed his arms, and looked at him with a clear and warm gaze: "Just like the strawberries you ate, they were grown through the hard work of farmers and were served on people's tables."

"A lot of water is consumed in this process. It depends on the weather. If it is stored in the refrigerator, it will rot after the shelf life. But can you say that the purpose of plants is to be eaten by us? All the behaviors of seeking meaning are just foolish behaviors."

"Maybe you're right, sir. It's just human nature to add meaning to anything."

Gabriel lowered his eyes, pursed his lips, and said softly: "Just like Alice, the whale wandering in the Pacific Ocean, she never stops, always wandering. Her hertz is higher than that of her peers. No matter how loud her voice is, she can only wander alone on an uninhabited planet. Because of this specialness, no whale can respond to her call."

... Gabriel buried his head in his arms. His voice seemed to come from the depths of a distant quagmire, as if he was talking to the young man beside him, or as if he was talking to himself: "But this kind of special feature...it would be better if it didn't exist."

"She was born in this world and exists in this world, which is already remarkable enough." Evan raised his hand and touched the boy's soft hair. "Perhaps the second whale in the world that is similar to Hertz, or even a group of whales, is somewhere in the deep sea."

"But if she had not crossed the ocean, but had stayed where she was, she might never have found her companions."

Evan stroked the back of Gabriel's neck with his fingers and said softly and gently: "Raise your head, Gabriel."

Gabriel trembled all over, but kept his head buried in his arms, like an ostrich buried in the sand.

"If you don't raise your head," Evan seemed to sigh, as if talking to himself, but it was clearly conveyed to Gabriel's heart, "how can I comfort you?"

Gabriel couldn't say why he felt wronged, but he was just sad. He was sad that he had the most despicable and dirty thoughts. Evan treated him too gently, so that he couldn't bear the darkness that he was familiar with and used to live in for a moment.

Gabriel's eyes turned red, but he finally raised his head obediently and aggrievedly. The boy's pupils trembled slightly, and as soon as he raised his head, the Omega next to him raised his hand and gently hugged the back of his head, and he felt a soft and wet touch on his lips.

Evan closed his eyes and k!ssed the boy intently. His boy had just eaten a strawberry, and there was still a faint berry scent between his lips and tongue.

Evan stood up, licked his lips, and showed a sly smile. The young man hooked his white and slender fingertips around Gabriel's collar and pulled the boy in front of him. The Omega looked down at him with soft eyes. Evan lowered his head to the back of the boy's neck and bit it very hard.

"Ugh!..." Gabriel felt pain, but he just let Evan bite his gland without any intention of resisting.

"gentlemen...?"

Gabriel lowered his head and whispered Evan's name, but only got a soft k!ss in return.

Evan bit his broken gland, leaving obvious teeth marks on the back of his neck, and then k!ssed it gently.

"Sir marked me." Gabriel said softly.

"Yes, I marked you," Evan's voice came from above, emphasizing a certain word: "I recognize you as my Alpha, because you are the most unique existence, the most real miracle in this world."
