Is it just a dragon head decoration? The rich are really complicated. Lucas curled his lips and huddled himself in the quilt. Just complete the task, why should he care so much?
In order to be more like an assistant, Lucas bought a pair of black-framed glasses at the two-dollar store downstairs early in the morning. He turned his baseball cap to the back and wore a loose black short-sleeved shirt and wide-leg shorts, a typical poor and motivated person.
The bus stopped at the bus stop at the appointed time. Lucas walked downstairs to the company. There was already a long queue outside. The sun was shining on his face, making it very hot. Lucas turned his hat to the front again.
When I lowered my head and thought about something, I suddenly felt a gaze around me. When I raised my head to look for it, the gaze disappeared instantly.
Lucas had never made any mistakes about his feelings, but it was only for a few seconds. Until he entered the company and sat down at the interview seat, that gaze never appeared again.
Although there were ten people in each group, the team was really large. Everyone around was discussing how to deal with the interviewer. When it was Lucas's turn, he still looked half asleep.
Thinking that Adrian would not come in person, Lucas only used half of his energy to deal with these nonsensical questions. Finally, he threw out a row of ten people and asked them to go back and wait for news.
Just as I was about to take the elevator downstairs, I was startled by the person inside when I opened the door, followed by an exclamation from behind.
When Lucas wanted to take a step back and walk up the stairs, he was grabbed by someone and pulled into the elevator. Then a few more people squeezed in behind him, forcing Lucas to take a step forward and stand face to face with this man who was half a head taller than him.
"Be careful, don't bump into anyone." A cold yet magnetic voice sounded in the elevator. Faint sounds of excited laughter could be heard around him, as well as a trembling voice that tried to cover up his own scream.
Lucas raised his head and glanced at Adrian. Although there was a flash of displeasure in his eyes, there was a smile on his face. He took this opportunity to deliberately take a step forward and spoke in a low voice.
"If you are unhappy, please don't take it out on my wrist."
Adrian seemed to realize something, his fingertips tightened for a second and then released again, looking at the face in front of him and apologetically said: "I'm sorry."
Lucas pulled his hand back and turned his wrist: "It's okay."
When he went back, Lucas lowered his head and looked at his wrist unconsciously. There was still a mark on it from Adrian's grip just now. He shook his wrist, wondering how much force it took.
At 11 o'clock in the evening, an unfamiliar phone call came in. He thought it was a notification from the company or the agent, but unexpectedly, the call was from Adrian himself. This surprised Lucas. Are all the celebrities in this country so hands-on?
"Lucas, is it?" There was light music coming from the other end of the phone, and a deep voice spoke with a lazy tone.
The charming voice tickled Lucas's ears. He cleared his throat and then opened his mouth: "Hello, I am."
"Are you free tonight?" Adrian's voice came through the speaker. Lucas answered and the other party continued: "Then could you please come to the company? Let's discuss what we will work on tomorrow."
Lucas lowered his eyes and glanced out the window, took out the candy in his mouth and said, "Okay, I'll come over now."
"Sorry for the trouble." Adrian said politely.
Still dressed the same way as in the morning, Lucas rushed to the last bus to the downstairs of the company and dialed the number again. After two rings, the other party picked up: "Twelfth floor, turn left after exiting the elevator and go to the innermost room."
Lucas nodded and hung up the phone. The twelfth floor was the practice room. As soon as he got out of the elevator, many trainees who had finished training came out. When he walked to the innermost part, he could still hear the sound of music through the crack in the door.
It was a very soothing Italian dance music, and through the window, the person standing in the center seemed to be looking for the tune.
Adrian's black hair was pulled back, with tenderness between his brows. He wore a floral silk shirt with his chest open to reveal his seductive collarbone. His slender legs were wrapped in black ripped jeans, and the rhythm of the dance made it hard to take your eyes off him.
When turning around, Adrian noticed Lucas standing outside the window, so he stopped and walked to the front to turn off the speaker.
She opened the door and stood in front of Lucas. The tenderness on her face disappeared and she returned to her calmness. The smell of sweat on her body was mixed with a light pine scent, which was not unpleasant.
"Let's go. This isn't a good place to talk about work." Adrian put a white towel around his neck, walked behind Lucas and spoke.
The overall tone of the office is gray-brown, which is high-end and luxurious. Adrian pulled out a stool and sat down. He turned sideways to take out a document from the drawer and pushed it in front of Lucas, then raised his head and looked at it.
"Take a look and if there's no problem you can sign it."
Lucas held a pen and pretended to look through the contract, but his attention was still on Adrian, until the other party made a move and reached out to lift the hat on Lucas's head.
Lucas looked up at Adrian with a puzzled look on his face, and heard the other party speak in an imperative tone: "Dye your hair back, this color is too conspicuous, and don't wear glasses without prescriptions, you don't need to pretend to be elegant here, and earrings, only black ones are allowed."
"Do you care about your hair color too?" Lucas questioned.
Adrian sat on the chair with his arms folded across his chest, playing with the hat he had just seized from Lucas's head, and said in a calm voice: "You are here to apply for this position."
Lucas was blocked and had nothing to say. He could only swallow his anger and pick up the pen to sign his name. Adrian raised the corner of his lips and asked, "Why do you want to apply for my assistant?"
After signing, Lucas heard these words, closed the pen cap and put it aside, reached out to take off his glasses, stood up and stared at Adrian, then leaned over and supported himself on the table, pulled the corners of his eyes back with a seductive look, and spoke in a gentle tone.
"I like you."
Adrian smiled and stared at Lucas: "I don't like Alpha."
Lucas stood up and put his glasses back on his face: "It's enough that I like it."
