"You sound more like you're applying to be my lover than an assistant."

Lucas looked out the window, at the green belt flashing by, and responded with his lips parted: "Maybe... I can try this position."

Adrian didn't say anything, and the car returned to silence again. Lucas, who had dyed his hair black, suppressed the original unruly and high-profile appearance.

His already porcelain-white skin was made to stand out against the black. His head was lightly leaning against the window, his long neck was stretched straight, and the faintly visible light blue veins seemed to be tempting prey in the dark to eat.

The villa area was built not long ago and not many people have moved in. The entire area is pitch black except for the street lights.

While Adrian was parking the car, Lucas stood at the door and observed the terrain.

It is a small two-story European-style building with an off-white main color scheme and a circle of golden patterns inlaid on the edges. Decorative chandeliers are hung on both sides of the gray-brown door.

For a moment, Lucas seemed to have thought of something, and his brows, which had been relaxed, slightly frowned.

"What are you looking at?" Adrian's voice came from a distance and asked.

Lucas adjusted his expression, raised the corners of his lips and responded: "Nothing, just daydreaming for a while."

Adrian walked in front and said, "Your room is the last one on the left on the first floor. There may be some things left by the previous person in it. Please clean it up."

I thought it was a coincidence, but when I entered the house, Lucas's steps actually paused, but in a moment, this movement was captured by Adrian.

"What's wrong? Is there anything about my family that surprises you?"

Looking at Adrian's smiling face, Lucas felt a chill on his back unconsciously. After two seconds, he finally managed to return his stiff expression to a more natural state and said, "No, I'll go clean it up."

Walking forward with his back to Adrian, he could feel Adrian staring at him. Lucas raised his head and glanced around the room again.

It's so similar. Except for the paintings on the walls and the color scheme, everything here is the same as it was back then.

Lucas's palms were covered with sweat. He pushed open the door of the room. The faint smell of dust suppressed the suspicion and doubt in his heart.

Although the Bai family occupied a certain position, the news was blocked on the night the incident happened, and according to the time, Adrian was only 12 years old.

Lucas looked back at the place where he was just now, and Adrian was nowhere to be seen. When he came to his senses, he found that his hand holding the door handle was still trembling slightly.

After closing the door, Lucas leaned against it to catch his breath for a while before tidying up the room. The bed and table were covered with long white cloth, and the items underneath were neatly placed with almost no damage. The bed sheets had also been replaced.

There were also new toiletries in the cabinet under the sink. After Lucas washed his face with cold water several times, he came out and sat at the head of the bed. When he was about to reach out to turn on the bedside lamp, for some reason, he moved his hand down and opened the drawer at the head of the bed.

Inside the drawer, there was a row of C*nd0ms neatly arranged, with a few boxes in the front that had been opened and used, with only one left outside.

Lucas moved his eyes and closed the drawer, complaining in his heart, he is really energetic.

Among the rooms on the second floor, only the bathroom had lights on. The light scent of fir trees was particularly noticeable in this room. The sound of water stopped, and Adrian came out of the door wearing a burgundy silk bathrobe with the belt loosely tied around his waist.

Her neat short hair was gathered back, and when she bent down to pick up the cigarette on the table, two strands of hair fell down and hung in front of her forehead.

The orange-red light flickered in the room. Adrian stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, looking down at the woods outside.

The light and shadow cast an outline on the glass, and the narrow eyes narrowed with a look of displeasure. A puff of smoke hit the glass, and Adrian put out the half-smoked cigarette in the ashtray.

In the darkness, the cell phone buzzed twice. Adrian took it and sat on the sofa next to him, crossing his legs.

"There is an ending song to be recorded at 8 o'clock tomorrow morning, don't smoke."

It was a message from his agent. Adrian tilted his head and looked at the cigarette but.t he had just put out. He took a photo and sent it to the other party, attaching a sentence.

'There are new guests at home, I have to take care of them.'

Less than five seconds after the message was sent, the phone vibrated again. Adrian glanced at the note, picked up the phone and put it to his ear.

The other party hesitated for a moment before speaking: "Brother, the entertainment industry is at the forefront of the storm after all, so don't act impulsively."

Adrian stared at the door, raised his arms and rested them on the sofa, and said in a long voice: "My agent is really a good dog of yours, telling you everything."

The other party was not angry, and his tone remained calm: "You know that's not what I meant."

Adrian was a little impatient and gritted his teeth: "What can I do? Ethan, don't be too nosy."

"Brother..." Ethan's tone sounded a little reproachful. When he was about to speak, he only heard the sound of the phone being hung up.

The veins on Ethan's hand that was holding the phone bulged. After a while, he took the phone back, threw it on the table, took off his glasses, rubbed the bridge of his nose, and spoke in a low voice.

"Be careful, nothing will happen to you."

Lucas got some recent entertainment industry information from Tyler, flipped through it, and went to sleep after he had read it almost completely.

This one-sided game for me has just begun, and I will definitely be the final winner.

_

Lucas got up at 7:30 in the morning and casually tied his hair into a small bun with a rubber band. The black color made him look immature, and he would feel bad if he didn't do something.

When Adrian woke up, the aroma of bread was already wafting from the kitchen.

Seeing someone coming, Lucas put the freshly ground coffee on the table and said with a smile: "The time is just right."

Adrian looked Lucas up and down, then sat at the table, leaning sideways with his head propped up, and with his other hand casually fiddling with the lettuce leaves and half a slice of bread on the plate.
