Ethan Meng started working on a new model and was busy all winter. Julian Shen's clippings were already half a thick book, but counting on his fingers, the days when they were free to meet were pitifully few. Julian Shen was usually so busy in the hospital that he didn't notice anything, but when he was resting at home, he would suddenly feel some peace and quiet.
Julian Shen stretched himself and went to the yard to light a cigarette. He turned on the radio, squinted his eyes, and squatted on the ground, staring at the bare branches outside the courtyard wall.
The cell phone in the room suddenly rang. Julian Shen was startled. When he stood up, he hurriedly disrupted a smoke ring that had just risen into the air.
"What are you doing?"
Ethan Meng's voice sounded a little hoarse. Julian Shen tilted his head: "You were just daydreaming. Are you tired?"
"I worked overtime for a few days."
