The spark given to the mechanical race is certainly not the real spark.
In fact, it is just a fire-starting technology.
As mentioned earlier, there are two ways to increase the population in the mechanical race's technology tree.
One is to be bestowed with [Fire] by a leader or someone with such ability.
The other is to utilize a special technology called the [Spark Pyramid] that can only be mastered by a second-level civilization.
