After being observed in the intensive care unit all night, he was transferred to the ward the next morning. Li Sui sat in front of the bed, staring at Archer Lu and not daring to move.
Archer Lu lay quietly, with electrodes attached to his body and a breathing mask covering his mouth and nose. He looked as if he was so fragile that it would break if touched. He stretched out his hand to hold it, but his hands were cold and without any warmth, and the rise and fall of his chest was very light. Li Sui seemed to be afraid that he would stop breathing, so he leaned over to explore after a while.
All the sharpness and brilliance were gone, and Li Sui realized that Archer Lu was even thinner than he had imagined. In the past, he had been wrapped in a thick coat in winter, but he had not noticed it. Now he was only wearing a loose hospital gown, and the whole person seemed to be one size smaller. The thin neck in the collar seemed to be able to be grasped by hand, and it was rising and falling slightly with breathing. And Archer Lu's wrist, due to the surgery, the white skin was slightly sickly, and the blue veins were very obvious.
The heart monitor at the bedside drew regular ups and downs. Li Sui held his hands, but he couldn't warm them up. He called out softly, but the person on the bed didn't respond at all, and his eyes were still closed. Li Sui rested his head on the bed, and the familiar scent of shower gel lingered around his nose. This smell finally made him feel a little relieved.
The room temperature in the ward is maintained at 22 degrees all year round. It is okay during the day, but it is a bit cold at night. The nurse was very considerate and brought him a coat and asked him to go eat something.
