When Evan pushed open the door, the shining holy light turned into a torrent and rushed into the narrow porch. The dark blue tentacles of the sea monster were instantly burned to ashes at the moment of contact, and were no longer able to reach the boy.

The boy staggered out and hugged tightly the man in front of him who exuded the warm sunshine. At the first sight of him, an inexplicable trust arose in the boy's heart.

Evan also bent down and gently hugged the fragile boy in front of him, letting him cry in his arms.

"It's okay... Have a good sleep, it's all a dream, and when you wake up, your parents will be back." Evan comforted him gently, patting his shoulder with his left hand and performing calming and hypnotic magic with his right hand.

"Mom and Dad... I... survived..." The boy looked relaxed. The ups and downs of the day had weighed on his nerves. Now that he was finally safe, exhaustion, catalyzed by magic, made him fall into a deep sleep.

... Mark stood behind Evan.

He saw the disgusting tentacles lurking in the shadows. Could he guess what this child had been through, to be given hope for life and then cruelly trampled to pieces?

Caster, an evil man who plays with people's hearts, a cruel executioner, and a man with unforgivable sins.

Mark also killed people. Let’s not talk about him. Which general with a great reputation in history did not emerge from a sea of   blood and corpses?

However, Mark, who upholds the code of chivalry, would never raise his knife to children, let alone play with a dying person.

Because of this, a raging fire ignited in Mark's heart of justice. He raised the indestructible lake light and wanted to charge at the demon that was bringing disaster to the world.

But a hand stopped him.

"Xiaolan, take good care of him. I'm going to do it myself." Evan's voice was filled with uncontrollable murderous intent.

"Yes." Mark looked at Evan. Evan's eyes were full of seriousness, without the laughter of the past. Mark nodded seriously, took the sleeping child from Evan and carefully protected him.

After two days of contact and fighting, Mark has recognized the strength of his master. If he does not release the treasure, he will even be suppressed. Moreover, when fighting with Evan, Mark always feels that he is swinging the sword at Arthur.

After handing the child over, Evan threw his cane on the ground and turned to walk towards the dark and damp room inside.

Inside the room, Nathan Uryu and Caster looked at the man who walked in with a wary look on their faces.

Evan looked at the blood all over the ground and the headless body lying on the ground, and held his forehead.

"Really? I thought I wouldn't be so angry after going through so much, but seeing disgusting Sc*m like you, my anger keeps rising!"

Indeed, Evan had experienced a lot of things and thought he had become indifferent to the passing of life. However, when he saw Nathan Uesugi's attitude of playing with life, Evan still felt the long-lost anger.

However, Nathan Uryu obviously did not feel the heavy atmosphere in the air, or rather, he did not care at all. His dream was a perfect death, no matter whether it was himself or someone else who died, so he did not feel any guilt.

"Hey, are you insulting my art?" Nathan retorted with a frown. "Although their bodies are dead, their spirits will forever become part of my art of death."

"Heh..." Evan shook his head and uttered four words, "There is no cure."

The battle was about to break out. Caster, who had been silent for a long time, was the first to launch the prepared attack. His long nails touched the textbook of Raiyan Castle. With the blood as a guide, the monster hiding in the deep sea struggled out from the shadows. Nathan hurriedly hid behind Caster.

Seeing the monster full of chaos and distortion in front of him, Evan did not dodge or evade, but rushed forward, and his right fist, which was wrapped in dazzling golden light, hit the part of the monster that might be the head.

Like a hot steel knife cutting open a Coke bottle, bubbling black fluid gushed out from the monster's wound, but it instantly evaporated when it came into contact with Evan's protective holy light, turning into wisps of steam.

"Hiss...Ah!!"

The monster roared angrily in pain and tried to grab Evan's right hand to fight back, but was cut in half by a hand knife in the next moment.

"Caster, is that all?" Evan looked at Caster with a mocking expression.

Caster did not reply, but continued to manipulate the Luoyan City textbook to summon more indescribable monsters, letting Evan and the monsters fight together.

However, he was also very clear that he could not resist the man in front of him with such a simple monster.

What rank is this man? Does he use his fists, or is he a rider or a berserker?

Caster looked past the blond man in front of him and looked at the alert purple-haired young man behind him. The young man was carefully protecting the sleeping boy. Although he couldn't sense the existence of magic for some reason, the red mark on his right hand was very eye-catching.

Is he the master?

Catch the leader first!

As the caster moved, even more powerful magic surged out of the Luoyan City textbook. In a flash, dozens of tentacles stretched out from behind Mark. Mark seemed to be caught off guard. He could only push the child out of the tentacles' attack range before being caught, and then was tightly entangled by the tentacles.

At the same time, Evan broke through the monsters' obstruction and rushed to Caster, stretching out his right hand and grabbing Caster's neck who was unable to dodge.

"Unknown Heroic Spirit, your Master's life or death depends on my decision. If you let me go, we can sign a ceasefire agreement." Caster was strangled by the neck and could only utter each word with difficulty.

"Oh? Really?" Evan showed a hint of sneer on his face.

Caster's heart sank, cold sweat streaming down his forehead.

What's going on? Why isn't he nervous at all? Could it be that he has a skill called battle continuation, which allows him to have enough time to find a new master after his master dies?

"Boom...Crack..."

A storm of magic erupted in the corridor. Caster looked carefully and saw that Mark, who had just been bound by tentacles, had changed into a purple armor, and the flow of magic revealed his heroic spirit.

"How... is it possible?" Caster's big eyes were filled with little question marks.

I clearly saw the red symbol on his hand.

"Are you wondering why there is a red Command Seal on his hand?"

Evan's voice was like the hymn from hell. Caster tried hard to nod, but his neck was pinched and he couldn't move at all.

"Crack." The sound of broken cervical vertebrae was heard, and Evan threw Caster to the ground, looking at his eyes that were gradually losing their light, and added a sentence.

"You've never seen a red marker before. You deserve to be the first one to fail."
