After a period of hectic days, Julian Mei and her classmates' junior high school life gradually stabilized. The usual morning reading time was 6:45, dinner was also eaten at school, and the evening self-study was 7:00. This evening self-study was cancelled a few years later due to the double reduction, and Julian Mei was unable to enjoy that time.
During this period, Ava Lin was elected as temporary class monitor because of his outstanding ability to be commanded by the class teacher.
Whenever she was needed to maintain discipline during lunch break, she would sit at the podium and do her homework. If there were people whispering in the classroom, Ava Lin would just look up and the classroom would quickly become quiet.
Not many people in the class knew Ava Lin, and they seemed afraid to provoke this female academic bully who looked difficult to deal with.
The Experimental Middle School is now nearly 2 kilometers away from Julian Mei and her friends' homes. It takes 20 to 30 minutes to walk home, but taking the bus is faster.
