In the end, Edward did not agree to let Owen run every day - because he himself could not run.

In the end, the two of them took turns coming back during weekdays and could only see each other during holidays.

When I was in high school, time was like a rusty gear, turning once and going back two steps. I was "dying" every morning when I woke up, and "coming back to life" after evening self-study classes. A week was like a finger-thick test paper, a dozen times of watching the foundation on my math teacher's face slowly seeping through with oil, and six evening self-study classes when I wanted to sleep but couldn't.

When I got to college, time became a mad horse, crossing hundreds of thousands of cracks in one step. A week was like a drunken life, like participating in a stupid club activity, like being forced by the counselor to attend a party class... like meeting Owen.
