The next morning, Sam got up at the crowing of the cock, washed up, and made breakfast.
After the three of them had eaten, it was time to prepare to set off for the town. Connor had unloaded the carriage last night and only left one horse in the woodshed. He said that it was inconvenient to use the carriage to go into the city every day, so one horse was enough.
Sam wanted to object, but when he saw Connor's dangerous gaze, he backed down.
"If you don't want to ride a horse, just walk there." Connor said ruthlessly.
Sam had no choice but to compromise in tears under the pressure. Fortunately, the two of them left early and Connor didn't have to rush, so the horse went very slowly and almost staggered to the town.
