The humans in City Z were either dead or gone. The few survivors who remained in City Z had already found safe and remote places to hide. If you count carefully, Zhang Bing has not seen any humans other than his team members for two months.
The footsteps had reached the door, but the crowd did not wait for the violent prying of the door as expected. Instead, there was a slow but polite knock on the door. Zhang Bing waved his hand to signal everyone not to act rashly, and then raised his voice to ask: "Who?!"
"We are not enemies," a young male voice came from outside the door, and a lively female voice followed his words, "We just came to see the new neighbors."
