Caleb sent his parents and sister downstairs, and picked up the wine glass after returning.

He swirled the drink in his hand.

On the table were fish with the Chinese characters for "Year after Year of Abundance" and some unfinished dumplings. The "Family Portrait" soup pot in the middle of the table had been turned off, the thick soup was no longer boiling, and a few bright red wolfberries were floating on the surface of the soup.

Emily curled up on the sofa with sleepy eyes, but she was determined to wait for the clock to strike midnight. The two cats lay on the ground obediently, Emily scratched Feichang's head and rubbed Pudding's belly.

In my ears are the voice of the Spring Festival Gala host and the comfortable purring of two cats.
