After the second get out of class on Wednesday morning, the senior class gathered in the playground to do morning exercises.
In every class, there are always one or two students who do the exercises extremely seriously, while the rest of the students just slack off and just swing their arms and legs and make random gestures.
Alex Xu is somewhere in between the two - he is swinging his arms and legs seriously, not just gesticulating randomly.
After morning exercises, Alex Xu and Emily Tang squeezed into the store and bought six black pepper hams. They ate two each and slowly finished them. Then they took the other two back to the classroom for Nathan Wang.
Back in class, before Alex Xu could hand the bag of sausage to Nathan Wang, Leo Lu, who was sitting at the back desk, stopped him and asked, "Class monitor, is this for me?"
