The light was dim on the underground floor, so we moved to a secluded spot at the back door of the hotel to talk.

The weather had turned cold in the past few days, and Grace Cheng's old problem of dizziness and fatigue had recurred. She had to sit in a wheelchair and be pushed by someone when she went out. She couldn't stand the slightest wind, and she was wearing a thick coat. When the nanny-like woman covered her with a blanket, she coughed twice and didn't even have the strength to raise her arms and wave to let the irrelevant people leave.

Six years ago, Max Ye had hated this woman because of some misunderstandings. Now there were other reasons that prevented him from facing her calmly. He didn't know what to say and felt a little timid.

It was Grace Cheng who spoke first: "Are you James Ye's son?"

This opening remark was not what Max Ye expected. He thought about it and replied, "Yes, auntie, my name is Ye..."
