In the small and enclosed space, the sound is infinitely amplified by the rebound of the four walls, and even the slightest sob cannot escape people's ears.

Max Ye didn't want to cry. He held back his tears at his mother's funeral, didn't cry when he had nowhere else to go and entered the entertainment industry, didn't cry when he was ostracized and bullied, and didn't cry when he talked about the past with his friends. When he was really upset, he would let the tears roll around in his eyes and then swallow them back, so that he could deceive himself and pretend that nothing had happened.

He was no longer a child, and he knew that crying would not solve any problems. He wanted to survive, to become strong, and to let Ethan Cheng see his steady and reliable side.

The darkness alone was not enough to make him cry. He was afraid that Ethan Cheng would hate him and that he would never be able to get close to him again. They were too far apart, less than two meters apart, but it seemed as if there was a huge ravine between them. Life and death became unimportant in front of this huge distance.

Tears flowed uncontrollably, Max Ye was too scared. He clenched his fists, digging his nails into his palms to stop his upper and lower teeth from clashing and trembling: "The first time, my agent took me there to greet several bosses I had never met before. I didn't know... I didn't know you would come."
