After vigorous regulation, reality-themed TV dramas finally surpassed historical costume dramas in number for the first time in many years in 2006, with their broadcast volume accounting for almost half of the total. Among them, "Mother's Tears", "Gate of the Sea", "Country Love" and others have achieved good results.
But this is not bad, with a viewership rating of less than 3%.
On March 18, CCTV-1's "Qiao Family Courtyard" achieved a "good start". Directed by the famous female director Hu Mei, and starring Chen Jianbin, Jiang Qinqin, Ma Yili, Ni Dahong and Juanzi, it tells the legendary life of Shanxi merchant Qiao Zhiyong. The average viewership reached 9%, ranking first in the same time period nationwide.
On March 22, "The Fairy from the Other World" was first broadcast on the film channel of Chongqing TV Station. Three days later, it was broadcast on more than ten TV stations including Hong Kong ATV and Taiwan Province's CTV, with a viewership rate of about 5%. This large-scale costume mythological drama, which is based on the romantic folk love legend "The Legend of the White Snake", has won praise from the audience for its roles as Tong Yuan played by Hu Xi and Xiao Qi played by Lin Yichen.
On March 26, after many years, "Young Justice Bao 3" was aired with a major cast change, with Deng Chao playing Bao Zheng, Zhao Yang playing Gongsun Ce, and Yang Rong playing Xiao Feng Zheng. What remained unchanged were Shi Xiaolong's Zhan Zhao and the theme song and interlude. However, compared to the classics of the first two parts, the third part did not receive good reviews.
