After they recovered, Riley and Jasper continued to search for supplies in the forest. Since they were mainly looking for summer fruits this time, they left all the trees except the fruit trees untouched.
Jasper was still in charge of identification, and Riley was in charge of collection. After walking for a few more hours, they actually found a pond. Looking at the pond full of lotus flowers and lotus leaves, Riley wanted to laugh out loud. It was really like a pillow when you are sleepy.
"Could we be the legendary children of luck? Look, everything we need comes to us. This morning you said there were no lotus leaves, but now there are not only lotus leaves, but also lotus pods and lotus roots. How perfect." Riley squatted by the pond, grinning foolishly as she hooked the lotus pod closest to her.
The ground beside the pond was slippery, and she leaned most of her body into the pond. She didn't stop in time and fell into the pond.
Jasper was actually staring at her the whole time, so when she tilted her head, he immediately reached out his hand. The awkward part was that Riley had her back to him.
