Neither side slept well that night. Xia Beibei was not used to sleeping outdoors, while Riley forced himself to chat with his hosts Brother Lu and Sister Lu until late at night.
When it was time to go to bed, Riley still slept in the same room with Jasper. They were unfamiliar with the place and did not dare to sleep separately. They slept on a wooden bed with dry straw under their bodies, which was prickly and hard. They did not dare to take out the bedding in their space ring and used it. They just lay in a daze until dawn.
They didn't stay long in the morning and didn't even have breakfast. He said that it was now the eighteenth year of Hongxing, and they were located in a mountain near a border town. Because there were many wild beasts here, there were almost no other people who would come up the mountain except for the hunters.
