The Survivor from the Sea Chapter 31

The weather was bad and there was nothing else to do, so they prepared to go to bed early. Ye Zi gave the pillow to Jasper, and Riley made one with cotton pads. It was really soft and comfortable. She also told Jasper that after his injury healed, she would replace everything with new ones, from the bed to the quilt. But she couldn't do that now because she didn't want to wash any bedding with blood stains except the cotton strips.

Jasper had been in contact with her for two days and knew what kind of person she was. She was not stingy, but she really had a headache about washing blood stains. So he expressed his understanding and said it was no problem. When he was still on the ship, he also slept on a wooden bed and used a leaf pillow, so he was used to it.

In the middle of the night, Riley was awakened by the rain that poured in from outside the cabin, which wet her face. In order to let in sunlight, the wooden wall on her side was not built at the head of the bed, so it was semi-open to the air. Jasper's side was not so bad, with no rain coming in. A stove was placed outside there before, so a wooden wall was built in front.

When Riley moved, Jasper woke up and asked her what was wrong as it was still dark.

"There's rain coming in. You're such a light sleeper. I didn't make any noise." Riley said as he walked to the doorstep to check the rain outside.
