Sure enough, after walking for a few more minutes, they saw an open space in front of them. Not only was it as bright as day, but there were also many animals gathered near the altar in the middle. The three animals from Riley's family were particularly conspicuous standing in the middle because they were big enough.
After a rough count, I found that the animals surrounding the altar were not too big. The cub was the largest one among them. The smallest ones were rabbits, and the largest was a roe deer.
It feels like these animals are performing some kind of ritual. The altar is made of stone, with a huge night-shining pearl suspended in the middle, and light is radiating from this pearl.
All the small animals were in a kneeling posture, which was creepy no matter how you looked at it. Riley couldn't help but secretly asked Jasper in a low voice whether this was feudal superstition. Fortunately, no yellow foxes participated in it, otherwise it would really think they were worshiping the moon.
Jasper's scalp tingled when she heard that. He was strong and calm, and was afraid that the noise would be too loud and affect the animals, so he decided to email her instead.
